Python ML and Signal Analytics Engineer Offline

Snotor Responds Quickly
to $4500

We are looking for a Python engineer with a strong background in signal processing and production ML inference. You will work with industrial sensor data to support equipment diagnostics, anomaly detection and predictive maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Implement feature extraction from telemetry, waveforms and spectral data.
  • Develop and integrate signal-based diagnostics and early-warning detectors.
  • Build a containerised inference service and integrate it with Go backend services.
  • Load versioned model artefacts from S3 and support reproducible inference and rollback.
  • Validate numerical outputs against reference datasets and investigate discrepancies.
  • Optimise inference latency and evaluate detector behaviour, including false positives.

Requirements

  • Strong Python skills and experience delivering maintainable production software.
  • Practical experience with NumPy, SciPy and numerical data processing.
  • Solid digital signal processing knowledge: FFT, windowing, spectral analysis and peak detection.
  • Experience with time-series analysis, feature extraction, anomaly detection and statistical methods.
  • Experience serving ML models in production, including model loading and version management.
  • Ability to validate numerical correctness and handle precision and reproducibility requirements.
  • SQL skills and experience retrieving and processing historical data windows.
  • Experience with Docker, automated tests, profiling and performance optimisation.
  • English sufficient for technical discussions, documentation and client collaboration.

Nice to have

  • Predictive maintenance, industrial IoT or electrical motor diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of motor slip, electrical characteristics or remaining useful life estimation.
  • Go development experience and integration with event-driven backend systems.
  • AWS S3, ECS Fargate, TimescaleDB and statistical process control.

Technology environment

Python, NumPy, SciPy, SQL, Docker, AWS S3, time-series data and integration with Go services.

Soft Skills

You’ll feel comfortable in this role if you:

  • Take ownership of your work and follow things through.
  • Prefer solving problems rather than simply highlighting them.
  • Focus on results and keep things practical.
  • Communicate openly and respectfully with others.

We offer

  • Salary based on qualifications and experience.
  • Official employment.
  • 21 working days of paid vacation.
  • 14 days of paid sick leave.
  • The opportunity to work on challenging web application projects delivered to clients around the world, including North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia.
