System Analyst

We are looking for a System Analyst to join our engineering team and help design, specify, and evolve distributed systems and integrations.

You will work closely with Product Managers, Solution Architects, Backend Engineers, QA, DevOps, and external integration partners. The role combines business process analysis with hands-on system design: APIs, data models, integrations, events, workflows, and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and transform them into clear system requirements and technical specifications.
• Design interactions between microservices, external systems, and third-party providers.
• Define REST API contracts, request/response models, validation rules, error handling, and API behaviour.
• Design asynchronous integrations using Kafka and event-driven patterns.
• Create sequence diagrams, activity diagrams, state diagrams, data-flow diagrams, and other technical documentation.
• Define data models and database-level requirements, primarily for PostgreSQL.
• Describe business and system workflows, including alternative flows, error scenarios, retries, and edge cases.
• Participate in solution design together with Solution Architects and engineering teams.
• Maintain and improve OpenAPI specifications and integration documentation.
• Analyze existing systems and identify dependencies, limitations, and required changes.
• Support development and QA teams during implementation and testing.
• Participate in backlog refinement, technical discussions, and estimation.
• Work with external providers and analyze their APIs, specifications, and integration requirements.
• Ensure consistency between business requirements, architecture, API contracts, and implemented behaviour.
