Project manager (only with Fintech exp.)

We are looking for a Strong Middle Project Manager to join our software development team. This role is ideal for someone who can independently manage end-to-end delivery, work with distributed cross-functional teams, and serve as the key link between client expectations and internal execution.

You will lead client engagements, ensure operational alignment, and take ownership of project delivery, including scope, timelines, risks, budgets, and financial performance. Most of the projects you will manage will be in the FinTech domain, requiring strong attention to detail and an understanding of complex financial products and environments.

New projects are coming, so we are looking for a PM to join several of them.

These can include discovery phases, outsourced FinTech projects built from scratch, or solutions based on our DashDevs product — FintechCore, a configurable white-label FinTech platform.

Depending on project size and complexity, you will typically manage 2–3 projects simultaneously.

As a PM, you will work closely with the Delivery Manager, who will support you in aligning project delivery with strategic project and company goals.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management & Delivery: Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure, ensuring scope, timelines, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
• Stakeholder & Client Management: Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintain proactive communication, align expectations, manage challenging situations, and build long-term relationships.
• Change & Scope Management: Identify, assess, and document scope changes; prepare Change Requests, coordinate client approvals, and negotiate billing, timeline adjustments, or scope reprioritization when necessary.
• Financial & Margin Management: Track project financials, forecast and control budgets, monitor project profitability and margins, and ensure delivery remains aligned with commercial agreements.
• Risk Management: Identify project risks early, assess their potential impact, and develop and execute mitigation strategies.
• Integration & Process Management: Ensure smooth coordination across engineering, QA, BA, product, and other project stakeholders; establish and improve delivery processes.
• Release Management: Plan and coordinate releases while ensuring dependencies, scope, risks, and timelines are properly managed.
• Team Collaboration & Resource Planning: Work with Team Leads and HR to coordinate onboarding, resource allocation, capacity planning, and overall team well-being.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, project transparency, and client communication.
   

About You

• 3+ years of commercial experience as a Project Manager in FinTech software development projects;
• Strong practical understanding of the FinTech domain and experience working with financial products, payment solutions, digital banking, or similar systems;
• Experience managing fixed-price and/or budget-constrained projects;
• Strong knowledge of all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC);
• Ability to independently set up and improve project processes and guide cross-functional teams;
• Strong scope management skills and experience handling scope changes;
• Experience with budget management, project financials, profitability, and margin control;
• Strong risk analysis and risk management skills;
• Ability to prioritize effectively and control deadlines;
• Experience planning and managing releases;
• Lean development and value-delivery mindset;
• Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills;
• Ability to balance client expectations, business needs, and team capacity;
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and project management tools;
• English — B2/C1 (Upper-Intermediate+).
   

Would Be a Plus

• Business Analysis experience;
• Engineering experience or technical education;
• Technical background;
• Experience participating in the pre-sales process;
• PM or Scrum Master certifications.
   

Project Environment

As a PM, you will work mostly with Jira, Confluence, Slack, Google Meet, and internally developed dashboards that support project tracking and daily delivery management.

Our projects use modern technologies selected by our technical teams based on each project's requirements.

The projects can vary across the FinTech domain, including mobile banking, payment solutions, financial platforms, and other FinTech products.
