QA Engineer

QA Engineer (part-time): 

About the role
We are looking for a part-time middle QA who can start soon and cover one main product and a few smaller projects.
The main product is a consumer forecast service used worldwide, with a mobile app and a website:
 

• Mobile app: a Flutter app on iOS and Android with paying users and a third-party fitness integration. Privacy documentation differs by region.
• Website: a static Astro site on Vercel with marketing pages, a blog in Sanity CMS and about 150k generated SEO pages built from about 5 templates.

You won’t be on your own. The developers and the product owner, who currently does QA herself, will support you while you learn.

Responsibilities
 

• Work closely with the developers and the product owner in regular meetings: clarify requirements, agree on priorities, and report on quality
• Test new features and fixes in the Dev app and on staging
• Take part in release verification for the App Store and Google Play, and gradually take it over
• Test purchases, subscriptions, and third-party integrations
• Test the website: data, navigation, SEO basics, responsive layout
• Create test cases and regression checklists from scratch and keep them up to date
• Report bugs in Jira and follow up customer-reported issues

Requirements
 

• 3+ years of QA experience on web and mobile projects
• Solid knowledge of testing types and test design: functional, regression, smoke, exploratory
• Manual testing of mobile apps on iOS and Android, on real devices and emulators/simulators
• Cross-browser and responsive web testing
• Experience writing test cases, checklists, and clear, reproducible bug reports
• Experience with Jira or a similar bug-tracking system
• Confident use of browser DevTools (console, network)
• Ability to plan your own testing and work independently
• Curiosity, attention to detail, and initiative
• English B2 (Upper-Intermediate) or higher: daily communication with the product owner is in English
• Part-time availability, able to start soon
