Senior Training Program Manager — Defence Tech

Life is in full swing at Beetroot Academy! We’re looking for an experienced Senior Training Program Manager to join and strengthen our growing Defence Tech Education team.

We believe education can strengthen Ukraine’s resilience, support innovation, and help develop the talent needed by the Defence Tech ecosystem. In this role, you will work with our key Defence Tech educational product — Embedded Development — as well as new products we are developing within the Defence Tech portfolio.

This is a senior role at the intersection of project management and instructional design. You will be responsible for managing educational projects end-to-end while ensuring that learning experiences are well-designed, practical, relevant to the industry, and continuously improved.

The focus will be on instructor-led courses, self-paced learning, workshops, webinars, and other educational formats developed together with technical subject matter experts, instructors, partners, and the Beetroot Academy product team.

Your Future Tasks:

• Manage Defence Tech educational projects end-to-end, including scope, timelines, budgets, dependencies, stakeholders, risks, and delivery.
• Work with Defence Tech subject matter experts and instructors to transform their expertise into structured, practical, and engaging learning experiences.
• Lead the instructional design of educational products: define learning objectives, course structure, learning flow, practice, assessment approaches, and learning activities.
• Support instructors and SMEs with onboarding, learning design, and development of educational materials.
• Coordinate instructors, SMEs, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and consistent learning quality.
• Benchmark educational approaches, research the EdTech and Defence Tech education market, and contribute ideas for improving existing products and developing new ones.
• Contribute to the continuous development of the Defence Tech education portfolio together with the product team.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience managing educational products, learning programs, or similar complex projects.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in instructional design, particularly for adult learners and professional education.
• A strong combination of project management and instructional design skills — you are equally comfortable managing timelines and stakeholders and designing effective learning experiences.
• Experience working closely with subject matter experts and instructors during educational product development and implementation.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage several workstreams, dependencies, and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Experience navigating uncertainty and making fast but thoughtful decisions.
• Confidence working with AI tools for content development, research, and productivity.

Ideally, you can also share a portfolio, examples, or links to educational products you have developed or significantly contributed to.

Would be a strong plus:

• Experience working in the Defence or Defence Tech sector, including Defence Tech companies, defence-related organizations, military technology projects, or similar environments.
• A strong understanding of the Defence Tech ecosystem, its context, terminology, stakeholders, and ways of working.
• Experience working with highly technical educational content or technical audiences.
• Product marketing experience or a product-oriented mindset.
• Educational and/or project management certifications.
