Head of Delivery

Linkup is looking for an experienced Head of Delivery to join the leadership team of an international software development company.

We are looking for a strong delivery leader who can take ownership of the delivery function, ensure predictable and high-quality execution across multiple client engagements, and continuously improve the way teams, processes, and clients work together.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on involvement when needed  from developing delivery standards and strengthening the management team to stepping into complex projects, client escalations, or business-critical situations.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Own and continuously improve the company’s Delivery function, ensuring predictable execution, quality, and client satisfaction across projects.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Delivery / Project Managers, strengthening their ownership and management capabilities.
• Maintain visibility into the overall project portfolio: delivery status, risks, capacity, financial performance, and key dependencies.
• Identify delivery risks early and ensure effective mitigation and escalation management.
• Support teams in complex or critical project situations and help drive them toward resolution.
• Build and improve delivery processes, standards, governance, and performance metrics without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
• Ensure efficient resource allocation and collaborate with relevant teams on staffing and capacity planning.
• Work closely with Engineering, Sales, Account Management, Finance, and other functions to align delivery execution with business priorities.
• Participate in pre-sales, discovery, estimation, and project setup for complex opportunities when required.
• Build strong relationships with key clients and participate in strategic discussions and escalations.
• Contribute to improving project economics, including utilization, profitability, delivery efficiency, and sustainable account growth.

• Regularly analyze delivery performance and initiate improvements across teams and processes.

   

What we’re looking for

• 7+ years of experience in software delivery / project or program management, including experience in a leadership role.
• Proven experience managing multiple software development projects or a project portfolio simultaneously.
• Experience leading and developing Project Managers, Delivery Managers, or other delivery leaders.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, delivery methodologies, estimation, resource planning, and risk management.
• Experience working in an outsourcing, consulting, or software services environment.
• Solid understanding of project economics and key delivery metrics: budget, margin, utilization, capacity, scope, and profitability.
• Strong client-facing experience, including communication with senior stakeholders and handling difficult or escalated situations.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with the willingness to dive into details when the situation requires it.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to decision-making.
• Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment where priorities may change.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.

• Upper-Intermediate / Advanced English for regular communication with international clients.
