HR Operations Specialist

Remote · Full-time · Reports to: CEO

About FutureMedia: FutureMedia is a global product portfolio company building practical digital products used by millions of people worldwide.
Our products span career, self-discovery, productivity, and digital essentials. We build them by bringing product, engineering, design, data, and growth together around real user needs and shared business goals.

We take responsibility for outcomes, learn through experimentation, and believe good ideas can come from any teammate.

Right now, FutureMedia is looking for an HR Operations Specialist to build and run our core people processes. You’ll shape how new colleagues settle in, support employees and managers, and have the opportunity to improve existing processes and create what’s missing.

Your impact

  • Own and continuously improve core HR processes across the employee lifecycle, from preboarding and onboarding to employee changes and offboarding.
  • Identify gaps and inefficiencies in existing HR processes and turn them into practical, scalable workflows.
  • Create clear HR procedures, standards, and ownership models so managers and employees understand how people processes work.
  • Coordinate employment and contractor documentation, agreements, amendments, and employee records.
  • Coordinate payroll-related employee changes and provide accurate inputs to Finance and external payroll partners.
  • Manage vacation, benefits, and other employee-related processes.
  • Support managers with performance processes, feedback cycles, employee relations, and people-related situations.
  • Maintain and improve HR policies, guidelines, templates, and internal documentation.
  • Support employee engagement and retention initiatives and help identify recurring people-related issues.

About you

  • 3+ years of experience in HR Operations, People Operations, or a similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with onboarding, offboarding, probation, employee changes, and day-to-day HR support.
  • Experience running employee 1:1s, supporting managers, and handling sensitive employee situations with good judgment.
  • Confidence working with HRIS, employee data, payroll inputs, and HR documentation.
  • Experience improving existing HR processes or building new ones from scratch.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail without losing sight of the employee experience.
  • Clear communication and confidence working with employees, managers, and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and move things forward without constant supervision.
  • Upper-Intermediate English or above.
