About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a long-term project.
You’ll work on designing and developing scalable data solutions using modern Databricks and Azure technologies, combining hands-on engineering with architectural responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and evolve scalable data architectures based on Data Lakehouse principles.
• Define technical solutions and architectural approaches for data processing, integration, and storage.
• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Databricks, Apache Spark, and Python.
• Build and maintain data workflows and integrations using Azure Data Factory and Azure Storage.
• Establish and maintain data governance, access control, and data management practices using Unity Catalog.
• Ensure data solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable.
• Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into effective data solutions.
• Contribute to technical decisions, architecture documentation, and best practices across the project.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing data solutions, processes, and overall platform performance.
   

What We’re Looking For

• Senior-level experience in Data Engineering, with strong architectural thinking
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, and Python
• Solid understanding of Data Lakehouse architecture
• Practical experience with Unity Catalog, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Storage
• Ability to design scalable and reliable data solutions and make technical decisions
• English - B2 or higher
• German B1 will be a plus
