Research Analyst/System Analyst

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Research Analyst/System Analyst with a strong developer background to join the product team. You will explore new identity verification and biometric vendors, and build proof-of-concept solutions that show how each vendor could work within our Client’s platform. Your findings, demos, and recommendations will directly shape the product team's decisions on which technologies to adopt.

We expect a new team member to work independently and proactively: discover information on their own when documentation is incomplete, dig into unfamiliar APIs, and turn research into clear, well-argued conclusions. Strong communication skills are essential, since you will present results to the product team and work closely with US-based colleagues.

General project description

The project offers a biometric-based identity verification and passwordless multi-factor authentication (MFA) platform with a privacy-by-design architecture centered around a private and permissioned distributed ledger. The platform generates a non-phishable multi-factor authentication credential for employees while giving customers a convenient passwordless option for strong authentication to prevent fraud. Because all personally identifiable information (PII) is public/private key encrypted and the user maintains sole possession and access to the private key without third-party intermediaries, PII is always stored and managed in compliance with data privacy mandates and is never exposed in the clear. The platform's innovative architecture combines live biometrics, machine verification of government credentials, a portable digital identity wallet, a private, permissioned ledger, and verified reusable digital credentials. Combined, these capabilities eliminate the identity gap in conventional Single Sign-On (SSO) and MFA. They remove the compromise between security and convenience by reducing transaction friction while verifying identity at every access or service request. An immutable chain of custody provides tamper-evident digital identity and verified credentials for unmatched trust.

The size and the structure of the team

You will be a part of the product team, working closely with product managers and engineers on the client side.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Proficient with JS / Node.js, API Integrations
• Hands-on experience with third-party API integrations (REST, webhooks, authentication via API keys / OAuth 2.0)
• Experience testing integrations end-to-end and validating vendor capabilities against requirements
• Ability to quickly read vendor documentation and SDKs and build a working prototype
• Ability to structure research findings into clear reports and comparisons
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Availability to overlap with US working hours for at least 4 hours a day
• English level - B2-С1

Skills that will be a plus:

• Experience with identity verification / KYC providers
• Experience with national digital ID schemes (e.g., SingPass, UAE Pass, eIDAS-based solutions)
• Understanding of biometrics: face recognition, liveness detection, facial occlusion detection
• Experience with document verification solutions
• Knowledge of authentication protocols (OpenID Connect, SAML)
• Experience with Postman, Docker
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS)
• Experience integrating mobile SDKs (iOS / Android)

Previous experience preferred: Identity verification, authentication, KYC / AML, or fintech solutions. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research and evaluate new identity verification, biometric, and digital ID vendors
• Discover and gather technical information when vendor documentation is limited
• Integrate vendor APIs and SDKs into proof-of-concept solutions
• Test integrations and validate that vendor capabilities meet product requirements
• Build and present integration demos to the product team
• Prepare vendor comparison reports and recommendations
• Document findings, limitations, and integration considerations for future production implementation
