Senior System Analyst

We are looking for a Senior System Analyst to participate in the preparation of a detailed Software Requirements Specification (SRS) for a complex enterprise platform.

The specialist will work closely with a Business Analyst and Solution Architect / Tech Lead. The BA is responsible for business and functional requirements, while the Solution Architect is responsible for the solution architecture. The System Analyst’s role is to detail system logic, data, and interactions to a level sufficient for architecture design, accurate development estimation, and subsequent implementation.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze requirements, Features, Business Rules, and Use Cases prepared by the BA.
- Identify gaps, contradictions, ambiguities, and missing scenarios.
- Detail Use Cases: triggers, preconditions, main flows, alternative flows, exception flows, and postconditions.
- Describe system behavior and interactions between system components.
- Define object states and lifecycles: states, transitions, events, and constraints.
- Design and document APIs and integrations: endpoints, request/response structures, JSON/XML, authentication, error codes, callbacks/webhooks, retries, and timeouts.
- Prepare OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
- Create Sequence, Activity, State Machine, Component, and other required UML diagrams.
- Work with BPMN 2.0 together with the BA.
- Develop data models: entities, attributes, relationships, identifiers, ERDs, and data mappings.
- Detail validation rules, error handling, edge cases, and system constraints.
- Describe synchronous and asynchronous interactions, events, queues, and integration flows.
- Define RBAC/permissions, audit requirements, and security-related system requirements together with the Solution Architect.
- Ensure traceability: Business Requirements → Features → Use Cases → System Requirements → Data/API/Integrations → Acceptance Criteria.
- Conduct technical requirements reviews together with the Solution Architect.
- Assess Features for Estimation Readiness and eliminate ambiguities that could affect development estimation.
 

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a System Analyst / Senior System Analyst.

Hands-on experience with:

- Complex enterprise/B2B software systems.
- Preparation of detailed SRS / System Requirements.
- REST APIs and system integrations.
- OpenAPI / Swagger.
- UML.
- BPMN 2.0.
- Sequence Diagrams.
- State Machines.
- ERD and data modelling.
- JSON/XML.
- Authentication, authorization, and RBAC.
- Error and exception handling.
- Synchronous and asynchronous integrations.
- Direct collaboration with Business Analysts, Software Architects, and development teams.
- Preparing specifications actually used by development teams for estimation and implementation.

Strong Advantage

Experience with Cybersecurity, telecom, security-sensitive enterprise systems, IAM, audit/logging, encryption, high-load, or distributed systems.

Cybersecurity domain experience is not mandatory if the candidate has strong system analysis and integration experience.

Еxpected Outcome

The SRS must be detailed enough that developers performing the estimation do not need to independently infer system logic, states, data structures, integrations, exception scenarios, or expected system behavior.

Important: We are looking for a hands-on System Analyst who independently creates specifications, models, and diagrams — not someone whose role is limited to team coordination or high-level requirements documentation.
