Full Stack Shopify Developer
We are looking for a Full Stack Shopify Developer with a strong frontend focus for our client, an established Israeli technology company specializing in custom Shopify development and e-commerce solutions.
The company works with growing international brands, building and maintaining Shopify-based e-commerce platforms, custom applications, integrations, and internal products.
This is a full stack position, but the primary focus is on frontend Shopify development. You will work extensively with Shopify themes, Liquid, JavaScript, responsive interfaces, and storefront customization, while also handling backend development with Node.js, APIs, integrations, and databases when required.
You will work directly with the client’s team on real production projects and take ownership of features from implementation through deployment.
Responsibilities
* Develop and customize Shopify stores end-to-end, with a strong focus on frontend development
* Build and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
* Translate designs and requirements into responsive, production-ready storefront experiences
* Develop custom storefront functionality and reusable components
* Optimize storefront performance, responsiveness, and user experience
* Build custom Shopify apps and integrations
* Develop and maintain backend functionality using Node.js
* Build and maintain REST APIs and database integrations
* Integrate third-party APIs, Shopify APIs, and webhooks
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues across both frontend and backend
* Contribute to the development of internal products and tools
* Collaborate directly with the client’s engineering team
* Use AI-assisted development tools to improve development efficiency and automate repetitive tasks
Requirements
Must Have
* 2–4 years of commercial full stack development experience
* Strong frontend development skills with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
* Strong understanding of responsive web development
* Experience developing complex production web applications
* Backend development experience with Node.js
* Experience building and maintaining production REST APIs
* Strong understanding of asynchronous JavaScript, including Promises and async/await
* Experience working with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or similar databases
* Experience integrating third-party APIs
* Familiarity with AWS or GCP
* Understanding of clean architecture and separation of concerns
* Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
* Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Excellent English
Nice to Have
* Hands-on Shopify development experience
* Experience with Shopify Liquid and custom theme development
* Experience building custom Shopify apps
* Experience with Shopify APIs and webhooks
* GraphQL
* Docker
* Previous e-commerce development experience
* Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar
