About Ferla

Ferla is a U.S.-based company with two growing brands: Ferla Bikes, focused on commercial and specialty bikes, and Ferla Family Bikes, focused on premium electric cargo and family bikes.

We are looking for a talented Part-Time Web Designer to join our team remotely and help us continuously improve both websites.

This is an ongoing position for someone who is creative, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly inside Shopify and WordPress—not just creating mockups.

What You'll Do

• Design and improve pages for both Ferla websites
• Build and redesign Shopify and WordPress pages
• Work extensively with WordPress + Elementor
• Create product pages, collection pages, landing pages, and promotional pages
• Improve existing pages to make them cleaner, more modern, and easier to navigate
• Improve UX/UI and overall customer experience
• Optimize designs for desktop, tablet, and mobile
• Create strong visual hierarchy and clear calls-to-action
• Work with product photos, banners, icons, graphics, and other website assets
• Maintain consistent branding across both websites
• Work closely with our e-commerce, marketing, sales, and development teams
• Take references or rough concepts and turn them into polished webpages
• Recommend improvements when you identify UX or design problems

Required Skills

Must have:

• Strong web design experience
• Shopify
• WordPress
• Elementor
• Responsive/mobile design
• UX/UI fundamentals
• E-commerce website design
• Landing and product page design
• Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
• Strong attention to typography, spacing, layout, and visual consistency

Nice to have:

• Figma
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Illustrator
• Basic understanding of SEO
• Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
• Experience working with U.S. e-commerce brands

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who can do more than make a page look attractive.

You should understand how to organize information, simplify complicated pages, guide customers toward the right action, and create a consistent experience across an e-commerce website.

You should be comfortable receiving a task such as:

"This product page has too much information and is difficult to navigate. Review it, propose a better structure, and redesign the page."

We want someone who can take ownership of that assignment rather than needing step-by-step design instructions.

Schedule

This is a part-time remote position with a flexible schedule.

We are looking for someone interested in working with us on an ongoing basis rather than completing a single project.

Some overlap with U.S. business hours for meetings and communication is preferred.
