Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to drive project planning, execution, and delivery across two engineering streams: DMP (Data Management Platform) and OMS (Order Management System).

In this role, you will own project management lifecycle—focusing on scheduling, scope management, dependency tracking, risk mitigation, and delivery governance across distributed engineering teams in Ukraine and the EU. You will work in close partnership with Engineering / Team Leads and cross-functional teams to ensure predictable delivery and operational excellence.

Scope & Products Overview

1. Data Management Platform (DMP) — Process Optimization & High Influence

• Product: A backend-only Big Data platform handling high-volume order lifecycle processing, transformation, and reporting directly for the CTO.

• Team (~11 FTEs): 2 BAs, 4 Devs, 2 Manual QAs, 1 Automation QA, 1 Data QA, Data Governance Lead.

• Delivery Model: Hybrid model combining Waterfall release projects, Kanban continuous delivery, and Support workstreams.

• Environment: A young team (<4 years) offering higher autonomy to establish processes, plan execution, and drive delivery improvements.

2. Order Management System (OMS) — Established Execution & Scale

• Product: Next-gen trading platform re-engineering from scratch in the Capital Markets domain, providing streamlined workflows for trading professionals.

• Team (~25 FTEs): 1 PM (you), 4 BAs, 9 Devs, 7 Manual QAs, 2 Automation QAs, 1 UX Designer, DevOps support.

• Delivery Model: Customized Kanban workflow within SDLC.

• Environment: A highly mature team (>6 years) with well-established processes, focusing on structured execution and milestone tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Execution & Ownership: Drive project execution from planning through monitoring to final delivery across both workstreams.

• Engineering Partnership: Partner closely with Engineering and Team Leads to align technical timelines with delivery milestones.

• Schedule & Scope Management: Own project timelines, track inter-team dependencies, monitor critical paths, and manage scope baselines.

• Process Governance: Apply tailored delivery frameworks—facilitating hybrid Waterfall/Kanban workflows for DMP and customized Kanban processes for OMS.

• Risk & Issue Mitigation: Maintain Risk Registers / RAID logs, proactively identify delivery bottlenecks, and drive timely resolution.

• Operational Transparency: Maintain status visibility, progress tracking, and key delivery metrics across distributed teams in Ukraine and the EU.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of project management experience in software engineering.

• Methodologies: Solid knowledge of PMBOK principles with hands-on experience applying Kanban, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.

• Domain & Scale: Experience in Capital Markets, Fintech, or High-Throughput Data Systems; track record of coordinating multi-team setups (30+ total FTEs).

• Stakeholder Management: Strong organizational skills with excellent cross-functional collaboration capabilities.

• Languages: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or Fluent English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with distributed international engineering teams.

• Familiarity with enterprise financial derivatives, equity trading systems.
