QA Engineer

Mantah is looking for a QA Engineer to join an international project focused on API and integration testing for a financial services organization.

Customer — an international organization operating in the financial and protection services domain, providing customer-oriented solutions across multiple business areas and markets. The company focuses on digital capabilities, operational excellence, and technology-driven service innovation.
 

Project — a solution that develops and maintains an integration layer enabling seamless communication and reliable data exchange between core systems and multiple external platforms, supporting critical business processes.
 

Working schedule: from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM CEST.

Technology stack: APIs, web applications, backend services, SQL, databases, enterprise integration patterns, React, PHP, Go, AI-assisted testing tools.
 

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring backend systems reliability and performance through functional and non-functional API testing;
• Owning the end-to-end quality of web and backend platforms;
• Creating, maintaining, and executing test plans and test cases across multiple browsers and platforms;
• Testing new features and providing actionable feedback to development and IT teams;
• Contributing to test strategies for API and integration testing;
• Analyzing and troubleshooting issues, documenting findings, and working with relevant teams on their resolution;
• Identifying opportunities to improve software quality and optimize API testing processes.
   

Requirements:

• 3+ years of commercial experience in software testing;
• Strong experience creating API requests, reviewing API documentation, and designing comprehensive test scenarios covering functional, non-functional, performance, and reliability aspects;
• Hands-on experience designing and executing test strategies for APIs, integrations, and database-level validations;
• Strong understanding of backend systems, databases, SQL, and system architecture fundamentals;
• Experience with test planning, design, and execution for both frontend UI and backend services;
• Solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns and workflows;
• Hands-on experience testing modern web applications and eCommerce platforms;
• Familiarity with Spec-Driven Development and AI-assisted delivery practices;
• Hands-on experience with AI tools such as Claude for generating and reviewing test scenarios, test cases, automation scenarios, and QA documentation;
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs, identify gaps and edge cases, and ensure alignment with business requirements;
• Experience using AI to improve testing efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards;
• English level — Upper-Intermediate or higher.
   

Will be a plus:

• Hands-on testing experience with applications built using technologies such as React, PHP, Go, or similar technologies.
