Senior Frontend Developer (React / Next.js)

About the role
We’re looking for a strong Senior Frontend Developer to join our product development team and work on complex web applications across FinTech, Web3, marketplaces, SaaS platforms, and data-heavy admin systems.

This role has a clear growth path toward Frontend Team Lead. We’re looking for someone who is not only strong technically but also comfortable taking ownership, communicating directly with clients, and explaining technical decisions through their business impact.

As you grow into the Lead role, you’ll work directly with CTOs, founders, and C-level stakeholders, participate in architectural and scope discussions, mentor developers, and help establish frontend engineering standards.

What you’ll do

• Design frontend architecture: component structure, state management strategy, and scalability principles
• Build key product flows: authentication, onboarding, user accounts, payments, wallets, transaction history, dashboards, and admin panels
• Work with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Configure SSR/CSR for performance-sensitive and high-traffic applications
• Work with REST APIs, asynchronous flows, WebSockets / SSE
• Conduct code reviews, maintain quality standards, and reduce technical debt
• Collaborate closely with Design, QA, Backend, and Product teams
• Participate in task estimation and sprint planning
• Mentor developers and contribute to technical decision-making

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of commercial frontend development experience
• Strong React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript ES6+
• Redux Toolkit / Context API, React Hooks, React Query or equivalents
• Styled Components / Sass / CSS Modules
• Responsive and cross-browser development
• REST APIs, async flows, WebSockets / SSE
• Jest and understanding of E2E testing with Cypress / Playwright
• Git, code review culture, Jira or similar tools
• Experience with payment integrations or financial data
• Experience mentoring developers and reviewing code
• Experience communicating directly with clients without a PM as the only communication layer

Communication is important
You should be comfortable communicating directly with clients and gradually taking more ownership on the business side.

We expect:

• English B2+, confident spoken communication
• Ability to participate in client calls independently
• Ability to communicate with CTOs, founders, and C-level stakeholders in a structured and clear way
• Ability to explain technical decisions, risks, trade-offs, and technical debt in business terms
• Confidence to challenge a poor idea or unrealistic scope respectfully and without creating conflict
• Clear written communication and documentation
• Calm communication in discussions and ability to defend technical decisions when needed
   

AI-assisted development experience is required
We actively rely on AI in our engineering workflow, so we’re looking for hands-on experience, not just familiarity with the tools.

You should have:

• Daily experience with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar agentic tools
• Experience preparing context for agents: project rules, CLAUDE.md / cursor rules, MCP integrations, task decomposition
• Ability to critically review AI-generated code and identify hallucinations, unsafe patterns, and unnecessary abstractions
• Understanding of where AI saves engineering time and where it can create technical debt
• Ability to build an effective AI-assisted workflow and potentially help the team adopt it
• Ability to explain how AI-assisted development affects project timelines and cost

Growth to Frontend Team Lead
As you grow into the Lead role, your responsibilities will gradually include:

• Direct client communication and calls with CTOs / founders
• Presenting and defending architectural decisions, scope, and estimates
• Translating business requirements into technical solutions and explaining technical risks in business language
• Mentoring and onboarding developers
• Establishing engineering standards and code review guidelines
• Technical coordination between our team and the client’s engineers
• Participation in technical interviews and candidate evaluation
• Project estimation and occasional presale support
