Senior / Lead Quality Engineer
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior/Lead QA Engineer to take ownership of QA across the full product lifecycle – from shaping quality strategy and processes to ensuring reliable releases at scale. You’ll join a team building a leading browser-based video platform for live streaming, conferences, webinars, and online training, supporting thousands of simultaneous viewers.
This is a role with real ownership: you’ll raise QA standards, evolve testing processes, and introduce AI-driven testing practices while staying hands-on with the product. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, and Design to build quality into every stage of development and help shape the future of QA across the platform.
Requirements
- 7+ years in QA with a track record of shipping high-quality software
- Strong manual, exploratory, and risk-based testing skills
- Experience building QA strategy at team or product level
- Solid grasp of SDLC and Agile/Scrum
- Comfortable with defect tracking/test management tools (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.)
- Exposure to CI/CD (Jenkins, Maven, or similar) and cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- Experience testing web and mobile apps across browsers/platforms
- Upper-intermediate+ English
- Hands-on use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) for test design, defect analysis, test data, or documentation, plus awareness of AI’s limitations (hallucinations, inconsistency) and how to validate its output
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI-powered testing platforms (Mabl, Testim, Applitools)
- Test automation exposure, or experience with flaky-test reduction
- Familiarity with testing AI/LLM-based APIs
- Experience mentoring QA engineers and leading QA initiatives across teams
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve QA strategy across the product lifecycle
- Build and maintain test plans, cases, and scenarios
- Lead functional, regression, exploratory, and integration testing
- Own defect lifecycle and quality bug reporting
- Partner with engineering, product, and design on acceptance criteria
- Bring AI tools into QA workflows to boost efficiency and coverage
- Track QA metrics and mentor junior/mid-level QA engineers
