About the vacancy

Come Back Agency supports US software and technology companies by running their hiring process. We work with delivery and leadership teams to define roles, screen candidates, and manage interviews. Successful candidates are hired directly by the company and become part of its team.

This position is with a US-based software company providing custom development and AI implementation for North American clients. The team builds and maintains production software, including AI-enabled systems, and works in long-term client engagements.

Team members operate as part of an internal, distributed team and collaborate directly with client stakeholders.
 

What we’re looking for

• Strong spoken English at B2+ level for direct communication with US clients;
• 2+ years of experience as a Project Manager in an IT/software development environment;
• Proven experience managing projects from initiation to successful delivery and support;
• Practical experience with Scrum, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily meetings, reviews, and retrospectives;
• Hands-on experience with Kanban and sprint-based workflows;
• Strong organizational and task-management skills — ability to structure work clearly and maintain order in the task tracker;
• Experience working with project documentation, requirements, plans, reports, risks, and decisions;
• Experience planning and controlling project budgets, timelines, scope, and team workload;
• Ability to take ownership, make decisions independently, and be accountable for project outcomes;
• Experience communicating with clients and understanding the commercial side of project work;
• Ukrainian - fluent;
• Higher education.
   

Experience with Upwork, especially Upwork Plus, will be a strong advantage.
 

What you’ll be doing
 

• Managing the full project lifecycle - from pre-sales preparation and discovery to successful implementation and ongoing support;
• Translating client goals and requirements into a clear project plan and structured backlog;
• Breaking down complex objectives into well-defined tasks with clear priorities, owners, and deadlines;
• Organizing and facilitating Scrum ceremonies and maintaining effective Kanban workflows;
• Coordinating developers, designers, QA engineers, and other specialists;
• Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly project plans;
• Maintaining clear and up-to-date technical and project documentation;
• Monitoring project budgets, timelines, scope, workload, dependencies, and risks;
• Providing regular reports on task and project progress;
• Identifying blockers and risks in advance and coordinating solutions;
• Ensuring that tasks, decisions, and responsibilities are clearly documented and understood by the team;
• Building strong, long-term relationships with clients and identifying relevant opportunities to increase the value and scope of cooperation.
