Business Analyst
Description of the Project & Team
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our core team within large-scale digital and e-Governance projects.
Our team designs and delivers digital solutions for e-Government and public sector transformation. You will work alongside experienced Business Analysts, Project Managers, Solution Architects, Developers, and QA engineers and gradually take more ownership of requirements and business analysis activities.
We are open to candidates at different stages of their BA career.
If you have several years of experience and can independently handle complex requirements - we'd like to hear from you.
If you have limited commercial BA experience but have a relevant degree, strong analytical skills, technical understanding, and genuine interest in Business Analysis - we'd also like to hear from you.
What you will do
- Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand their needs, expectations, and business processes.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify gaps, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Describe AS-IS and TO-BE processes and create process models using BPMN.
- Translate business needs into clear functional requirements and User Stories.
- Define Acceptance Criteria and clarify requirements with development and QA teams.
- Work with developers, QA engineers, Solution Architects, and other technical specialists throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Analyze system behavior, integrations, data flows, and dependencies between systems.
- Participate in requirements refinement, planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Support solution validation and help ensure that delivered functionality meets business requirements.
- Maintain BA documentation in Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
- Contribute to solution discussions and help identify possible risks, edge cases, and inconsistencies.
- Gradually take ownership of larger analysis areas as your expertise grows.
What we are looking for
Education
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, System Analysis, Business Informatics, Economics, Finance, or another relevant field.
- Strong academic background in IT, systems, business analysis, or a related area is a significant advantage.
Experience
- 1+ year of experience in Business Analysis, but we are also open to candidates without commercial BA experience if they have a relevant education
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Understanding of requirements engineering and business process analysis.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar tools for research, documentation, and analysis.
- Ability to break down complex problems into structured requirements.
- Basic understanding of software architecture and system integrations.
- Understanding of APIs and REST/JSON is a plus.
- Basic SQL knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with BPMN and/or UML.
- Ability to work with structured documentation and maintain requirements traceability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies and edge cases.
Communication & Collaboration
- English - B2 or higher.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to ask clear questions and clarify ambiguous requirements.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, international environment.
Nice to have
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Experience creating User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
- Experience with Postman or similar API tools.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of system integrations and data flows.
- Experience with data mapping.
Experience in e-Government, GovTech, public sector, or other complex regulated domains.
