Harmonic is a leading provider of innovative broadband solutions that deliver video, voice and data to communications providers around the world. GL team participates in development and QA of several generation of these solutions.

The CableOS department is about developing the new software-based network equipment which provides access to Internet/IPTV/VoIP services with using powerful servers.

It is an innovative solution for Internet Service Providers which will allow to get rid of the existing HW equipment and to migrate to the cloud, saving customers the enormous expenses for the support of huge number of hardware network equipment. Currently there are no competitors to this project in the world and Customer offers the opportunity to be at the beginning of the rapid development of the product and the opportunity to take their place in a fast-paced engineering team

ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) project is about developing a web based system supporting the manufacturing Harmonic's HW products

Requirements:

We are looking for a strong Middle Manual QA Engineer with 3+ years of commercial experience and a strong technical background.

You will work on testing backend services, web applications, REST APIs, and end-to-end scenarios. The role requires strong knowledge of software testing and test design, as well as hands-on experience with Linux, SQL, networking, and API testing.

You will:

• Perform manual testing of backend services, web UI, REST APIs, and end-to-end scenarios
• Analyze requirements and design test coverage
• Create, maintain, and review test cases and test documentation
• Execute functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end testing
• Test REST APIs using Postman
• Investigate issues using Linux, SQL, logs, and networking tools
• Report, analyze, and track defects
• Prepare test plans and test reports
• Work closely with developers and Product Owners to clarify requirements and resolve issues
• Identify and communicate quality risks throughout the development process

You should be able to:

• Analyze complex requirements and determine appropriate test coverage
• Independently investigate issues using logs, SQL, Linux, and network analysis
• Clearly document and communicate defects with detailed reproduction steps and technical evidence
• Take ownership of testing activities within your area
• Proactively identify potential quality risks
• Collaborate effectively with developers, Product Owners, and QA engineers in a distributed international teams.
  
  Must Have:
  3+ years of commercial experience in manual software testing
• Strong knowledge of software testing theory and test design techniques
• Experience with requirements analysis and identifying gaps, risks, and required test coverage
• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining test cases, test scenarios, test plans, and defect reports
• Experience with different testing types: functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end
• Good knowledge of Linux
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Hands-on experience with REST API testing
• Practical experience with Postman or similar API testing tools
• Understanding of web application architecture
• Experience using browser Developer Tools
• Basic scripting skills in Python or another scripting language
• Experience with Jira, TestRail, or similar test management/defect tracking tools
• Upper-Intermediate English (B2+)
