PSP Manager
PSP Manager
Experience: 5+ years
Industry: iGaming / Payments / FinTech
Level: Senior / Managerial
For our partner, we are looking for PSP Manager.
About the Role
BetLive is looking for an experienced PSP Manager to take ownership of the effectiveness and development of our payment infrastructure across target markets.
This is a senior business-focused role combining payment strategy, business development, commercial negotiations, financial analysis, and PSP portfolio management.
You will be responsible for continuously assessing whether our payment infrastructure supports business growth across all target markets, identifying gaps and opportunities, developing existing PSP relationships, sourcing new payment solutions, and negotiating strong commercial terms.
A key part of the role is having a holistic view of payment flows and business performance. You will analyze incoming and outgoing turnover across PSPs, GEOs, payment methods, currencies, and customer segments, considering conversion, approval rates, fees, reserves, settlements, limits, chargebacks, operational risks, and other factors affecting payment efficiency and profitability.
Based on this analysis, you will provide top management with clear recommendations and proposed actions to improve payment performance, reduce costs and risks, increase successful transaction volumes, and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and continuously assess the effectiveness of the company's payment infrastructure across target markets.
- Analyze incoming and outgoing payment turnover across PSPs, GEOs, currencies, and payment methods.
- Evaluate payment performance considering transaction volumes, approval and conversion rates, processing costs, FX, rolling reserves, settlements, limits, chargebacks, payout performance, and operational risks.
- Identify gaps, bottlenecks, dependencies, and growth opportunities within the existing payment infrastructure.
- Translate payment data into business conclusions and actionable recommendations for top management.
- Propose actions to increase payment conversion and successful turnover, optimize costs, improve payout performance, and reduce payment-related risks.
- Identify where additional PSPs, payment methods, acquiring solutions, currencies, or alternative payment options are required.
- Develop the PSP portfolio in line with business growth and GEO expansion plans.
- Source and evaluate new PSPs, acquirers, payment gateways, APMs, and other payment partners.
- Lead commercial negotiations and secure competitive terms, including transaction fees, MDR, reserves, settlement conditions, limits, FX costs, and other commercial parameters.
- Develop existing PSP relationships and regularly renegotiate conditions based on volumes, performance, and business potential.
- Evaluate the overall business value and economics of existing and potential PSP partnerships.
- Monitor PSP performance and initiate corrective actions when performance, commercial conditions, or service quality do not meet business expectations.
- Ensure sufficient diversification and redundancy of payment solutions across critical GEOs and payment methods.
- Coordinate PSP onboarding and development with Finance, Product, Compliance, Legal, and technical teams.
Stay informed about payment market developments, new providers, technologies, payment methods, and competitor practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in PSP management, payment business development, payment partnerships, acquiring, or a similar role.
- Strong experience in iGaming or another high-volume international online business.
- Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to connect payment performance with broader business results.
- Proven experience managing and developing PSP relationships and negotiating commercial conditions.
- Strong understanding of incoming and outgoing payment flows, acquiring, payment gateways, APMs, settlements, reserves, chargebacks, FX, and payment routing.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with payment turnover, conversion, costs, and profitability metrics.
- Ability to identify patterns and problems in payment data and turn them into concrete business actions.
- Experience preparing recommendations and presenting payment insights to senior/top management.
- Ability to evaluate PSPs from commercial, operational, technical, risk, and strategic perspectives.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Product, Compliance, Legal, and Tech teams.
English sufficient for negotiations and daily communication with international partners.
What We Offer
- Opportunity to work with two international online casino brands focused primarily on Tier 1 markets (EU).
- Direct impact on the companyβs payment strategy, business performance, and international growth.
- High level of autonomy and ownership in developing and optimizing the PSP portfolio.
- Direct communication with top management and involvement in strategic business decisions.
- Opportunity to influence payment infrastructure, provider selection, commercial conditions, and expansion into new markets.
- Work with both fiat and cryptocurrency payment solutions.
- Flexible cooperation format depending on expertise and availability: full-time, part-time, project-based, or advisory/consulting engagement.
- For advisory/project cooperation, the scope can include payment infrastructure audit, gap analysis, PSP portfolio review, turnover and payment-flow analysis, commercial optimization, recommendations to management, and support with PSP negotiations and new provider selection.
- International and fast-moving business environment with a focus on practical results and measurable improvements.
What We Value
We are looking for someone who sees payments as a business growth and profitability function, rather than simply a set of providers and integrations.
The right person should be able to look at the complete payment picture β turnover in and out, conversion, costs, provider performance, market coverage, risks, and commercial conditions β understand where the business is losing opportunities or money, and recommend concrete actions to management to improve the result.
