Middle+ DevOps Engineer for FlexMade

We're looking for a Middle+ DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Linux administration, Docker, Docker Swarm, GCP, CI/CD, automation, monitoring, databases, and production support.

The role combines hands-on infrastructure and container operations with ownership of DevOps processes and technical coordination responsibilities. You will work with production Linux and containerized environments, improve infrastructure reliability and automation, and collaborate closely with development and QA teams.

The current infrastructure is based on Linux, Docker, and Docker Swarm. As the platform evolves, there will also be an opportunity to gain practical experience with Kubernetes and modern cloud-native technologies.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on Linux administration experience, including troubleshooting, performance analysis, networking, and log investigation
• Strong production experience with Docker and Docker Swarm, including containerization, networking, volumes, service deployment, scaling, high availability, rolling updates, secrets/configs, and troubleshooting
• Strong practical experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with GCP; AWS or another major cloud platform will be an advantage
• Strong Bash scripting skills and hands-on experience with Ansible for automation, configuration management, provisioning, and deployments
• Solid database administration experience, including configuration, backups, troubleshooting, availability, and performance optimization
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Experience configuring and supporting web servers and reverse proxies such as Nginx, Traefik, or similar
• Hands-on experience with Cloudflare, including DNS, SSL/TLS, proxying, caching, and security settings
• Solid understanding of infrastructure, networking, application, and container security best practices
• Strong production troubleshooting skills and ability to independently investigate infrastructure, container, networking, and deployment issues
• Ability to take ownership of DevOps processes, make technical decisions, and coordinate technical work within the team
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with developers, QA engineers, and other technical stakeholders
• Basic understanding of Kubernetes and modern container orchestration concepts will be an advantage; willingness to develop practical Kubernetes skills is expected

Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Linux-based infrastructure across development, testing, and production environments
• Operate and support Docker and Docker Swarm environments, including deployments, scaling, networking, service discovery, high availability, and troubleshooting
• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Manage and support primarily GCP-based cloud infrastructure
• Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using Ansible and Bash
• Maintain databases, backups, availability, and performance
• Configure and improve monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and related tools
• Analyze infrastructure and application metrics, identify bottlenecks, and improve system performance and reliability
• Configure and maintain Nginx, Traefik, Cloudflare, networking, TLS, routing, and related infrastructure services
• Support production deployments and investigate infrastructure, container, orchestration, networking, and deployment issues
• Apply security best practices and proactively identify infrastructure risks
• Collaborate closely with development and QA teams on infrastructure, deployment, and environment-related tasks
• Coordinate DevOps-related work, prioritize and distribute tasks, and monitor progress
• Participate in technical decision-making and continuously improve infrastructure, automation, monitoring, and deployment processes
• Gradually participate in the adoption of Kubernetes and other cloud-native technologies as the platform evolves
