Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Node.js/Express, React, TypeScript)

Our client: US product company, an athletics management platform used by thousands of schools across the United States: rosters, eligibility, scheduling, officials assignment and payments. A mature product with real scale, now adding AI features to the core workflows.

You will own features end to end, across the stack, in a small team where what you ship reaches production the same week.

Format and time zone

Fully remote from Ukraine. The team is distributed across US time zones, with its core on US Central Time. We ask for a few core overlap hours daily, in practice from around 16:00-17:00 Kyiv time. Everything else is asynchronous and written by default, with a low meeting load.

What you'll do

• Build user-facing features in Node.js/Express and React with TypeScript, from spec to production
• Own the full slice: API design, database schema changes, rollout and the monitoring that follows
• Work AI-first every day: funded frontier models from Anthropic and OpenAI, agentic coding tools, and repo-level convention files so generated code follows the team's patterns. The tools are used hard, the output is reviewed by humans, and PRs say what was generated
• Bring your own practice to the team: custom skills, project conventions, prompts and workflows that make the whole team faster, not just you
• Raise engineering standards through code review, architectural patterns and targeted refactors
• Support what you ship on a light shared on-call rotation

Requirements:

• 5+ years shipping production software as a full-stack engineer
• Strong Node.js with Express (or NestJS) and React, both in TypeScript
• PostgreSQL: schema design, migrations, query optimisation
• Working knowledge of AWS (ECS/Lambda, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch) and CI/CD in GitHub Actions
• Daily, hands-on use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or similar). Not occasional autocomplete, but agentic workflows, custom skills that encode project conventions, and the judgement to tell genuinely good generated code from code that merely looks plausible
• Comfortable owning a feature alone, from database to UI
• English B2+ for daily written async communication

Nice to have

• Angular, for the parts of the platform built on it
• MCP servers, custom agent skills or other tooling you built around AI-assisted development
• React Native
• Domain experience in scheduling or logistics
