Middle Full-Stack Software Engineer (Next.js + Python)
Akvelon is looking for a Middle Full-Stack Software Engineer to join a product modernization project for a US-based technology company.
The client develops a proprietary customer acquisition and sales platform that connects consumers with major brands. The platform manages the customer journey from lead generation and qualification to intelligent call routing and sales conversion, combining real-time data, call center technology, and AI-powered capabilities.
You will be part of a team modernizing the client’s internal call center platform, originally built on Twilio infrastructure. The project involves developing new frontend and backend functionality, improving existing components, and introducing AI-powered capabilities to better support internal product and sales teams.
The key technologies for this role are Next.js and Python. The backend stack includes FastAPI, FastMCP, LangGraph, and SQLAlchemy. The broader platform also includes C# / ASP.NET.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance full-stack functionality for the client’s internal call center platform using Next.js and Python
- Build backend services and APIs with FastAPI, working with SQLAlchemy as part of the application’s data layer
- Contribute to the modernization of the existing platform and development of new capabilities for internal product and sales teams
- Develop AI-powered functionality using LangGraph, FastMCP, and Claude
- Work across frontend, backend, and AI components as part of the platform’s ongoing development
- Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and engineering improvements
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders across international teams
Requirements:
- 3+ years of commercial software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Next.js
- Strong hands-on experience with Python
- Experience with FastAPI
- English sufficient for working in an international engineering environment
Nice to have:
- Experience with FastMCP, LangGraph, and SQLAlchemy
- Experience with C# and ASP.NET
- Experience with AI-powered development and Claude
