Phenomenon Studio

Senior Business Analyst

$$$$

Phenomenon Studio is a boutique product design and development agency founded in 2019. We work with teams who’ve outgrown what they’ve built — from venture-backed startups to established market leaders — and own the work end-to-end: strategy, design, development, and post-launch.

The team of 70+ senior specialists is based in Europe, with entities in the USA, Estonia, and Switzerland, serving SaaS, fintech, healthcare, and EdTech. Across 120+ launches, clients have raised $500M+. Phenomenon is HIPAA-compliant, Nielsen Norman Group UX certified, and a Webflow Experts partner, holding a 5.0 rating on Clutch — and most clients come back for a second project.

We are looking for a Business Analyst to support new presale workshops and further product development. The role also includes onboarding to existing projects, supporting ongoing delivery, collaborating with the team on new modules, conducting research, and preparing documentation for new features.

Team: BA Lead, Senior BA, Pre-sales team

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar position of at least 4 years
  • English proficiency of at least Upper-Intermediate level
  • Able to dive into a subject field quickly
  • Converting ideas into requirements, explaining them in an accessible way to the team, and knowledge base enrichment
  • Experience demonstrating/presenting implemented solutions to customers
  • Have experience working with task managers (ClickUp/Jira/Asana/Confluence)
  • Daily hands-on use of AI agent tooling as a primary work environment (Claude Code, Cursor or equivalent) - not limited to chat-style usage
  • Ability to prepare and maintain project context for AI tools (context/instruction files, glossaries, decision logs) so that output is reproducible by other team members
  • Task decomposition for agents: breaking an analysis task into verifiable steps and reviewing intermediate results
  • Critical validation of AI output - detecting hallucinated or unsupported requirements; no unreviewed content in delivered documentation
  • Awareness of data sensitivity limits - what client data may be processed in which tool

Nice to have

  • Ability to model and describe business processes using notations (UML, BPMN, eEPC, IDEF)
  • Knowledge of teamwork principles and agile development practices
  • Understanding of general DevOps principles and the software development life cycle
  • Basic code reading/understanding
  • Ability to work independently and build business analysis processes on the project from scratch
  • Building reusable AI assets: prompt templates, slash commands, skills, subagent workflows
  • Connecting AI tools to the delivery stack via MCP or API (Notion, ClickUp/Jira, Figma, Drive)
  • Comfort with terminal/CLI workflows and local tooling (e.g. local transcription models)
  • Ability to assess agent output quality against a reference project set and iterate on instructions
  • AI-assisted prototyping for hypothesis testing (v0, Lovable, Claude Artifacts, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Write user stories, scripts (User Stories, Use Cases)
  • Write documentation, presentations (if necessary). Prepare user documentation according to customer requirements
  • Elaborate low-formalized user requirements, capable of decomposing, evaluating, and ranking them (generating MVPs, Impact mapping)
  • Create solution prototypes and test hypotheses as needed; consult and help the UX team to make the interface of applications and web solutions not only the most usable, but also consistent with stakeholder requirements
  • Participate in integration, interaction, and API design
  • Building user-friendly UIs; the ability to prototype UIs at a basic level (in Figma, Balsamiq Mockups, etc.)
  • Set up and maintain the project’s AI context as a living artifact (context files, domain glossary, requirement decisions) - keeping it current is part of analysis work, not documentation overhead
  • Produce first drafts of requirements, user stories, and specs with AI assistance while owning the final quality and consistency
  • Contribute reusable prompts, commands, and templates to the shared BA library and onboard teammates to them

What we offer:

  • A team of open-minded and supportive professionals
  • Comfortable part-time schedule with autonomy in processes
  • Full remote work format
  • Flexible workload and the possibility to combine with studies, personal projects, or other activities
  • Work-life balance: we value results, not the number of hours spent
  • Opportunity to grow into a full-time role in the future (if desired)
