DevOps Team Lead

We are building an international iGaming product and have been growing steadily for more than three years together with a strong in-house team.
During this time, we have not only strengthened the product but also built flexible processes that support business scaling.

Now we are actively expanding: strengthening our product expertise, growing the team, and entering the next stage of development.
That is why we are looking for a DevOps Team Lead who will lead our Platform Engineering team.

This role combines technical leadership, team management, and hands-on involvement in platform development.

Responsibilities:
• Team development — around 30% of your time:
• Develop engineers through regular feedback, mentoring, and individual development plans;
• Participate in hiring and building a strong Platform Engineering team;
• Define technical standards and ensure they are followed;
• Manage priorities between product team requests and platform development, helping the team stay focused;
• Define and execute the platform development roadmap;
• Platform development — around 70% of your time:
• Develop golden paths and reusable modules using Terraform and Helm to help teams launch new services quickly and according to common standards;
• Develop and maintain the platform based on AWS and Kubernetes;
• Develop CI/CD as a platform product, including reusable GitLab CI templates, GitOps-based deployments, and standardized delivery processes;
• Improve observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Alertmanager, distributed tracing, and shared monitoring tools across teams;
• Develop the platform’s networking and security architecture, including VPC, VPN, load balancing, and secrets management;
• Implement and improve SRE practices, including SLOs, error budgets, and an effective on-call process;
• Reduce time to production and the cognitive load on development teams through automation, standardization, and improvements to internal platform services.


Requirements:
• Experience leading a team of DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineers;
• Hands-on experience with AWS, including EKS, RDS, VPC, IAM, and S3;
• Production experience with Kubernetes, including Helm, Ingress, StatefulSets, and Operators;
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Helm;
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or similar tools and a good understanding of GitOps principles;
• Good understanding of networking: TCP/IP, L4/L7 load balancing, VPN, and container networking;
• Strong Linux administration skills and experience troubleshooting performance and networking issues using tools such as strace, perf, and tcpdump;
• Bash and Python skills sufficient to build your own automation tools;
• Experience building engineering processes and technical standards and scaling a Platform Engineering team.


Preferred Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux;
• Experience with OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing;
• Experience with secrets management solutions such as Vault, SOPS, or AWS Secrets Manager;
• Mature SRE practices, including SLOs, error budgets, and on-call processes;
• AWS FinOps experience;
• Experience running stateful services in Kubernetes, such as PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, and related Operators.
