Senior Mechanical Designer (visits to the client in EU)

We are looking for a Mechanical Designer who will create ergonomic, manufacturable, and production-ready enclosures for IoT devices — from concept to mass production.

The ideal candidate should understand not only aesthetics, but also enclosure engineering, materials, and hardware product manufacturing.
 

Requirements:

• 4+ years in Industrial / Mechanical Design;
• Experience designing enclosures for electronic devices (IoT / wearables / industrial / healthcare);
• Experience delivering products from concept to production;
• English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher;
• Experience with cost-down/cost-optimisation strategies;
• Material compatibility (basic understanding);
• Basic understanding of top-down approach is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Design mechanical architecture for consumer electronics — enclosures, assemblies, and internal packaging — from concept to mass production
• Perform thermal and heat dissipation calculations, modeling and analysis
• Perform DFM/DFA reviews and optimize parts for injection molding, die casting, and sheet metal production
• Integrate PCBs, sensors, and connectors within tight mechanical constraints in collaboration with hardware engineers
• Conduct tolerance analysis and prepare full manufacturing documentation (BOM, 2D drawings)
• Execute prototyping cycles using FDM/SLA and 3D scanning; validate fit, function, and aesthetics
• Coordinate with industrial design, hardware, and production teams; manage vendor and contractor communication
