Design Engineer (3D Printing)

About the Position

We are looking for a Design Engineer/Mechanical Design Engineer (SolidWorks, 3D Printing)

to work on the development of mechanical devices and hardware products. The role covers the full development cycle: from concept and prototyping to preparation for mass production.

Location: Kyiv

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

Developing 3D models of mechanical assemblies and devices

Preparing models for manufacturing (DFM)

Prototyping and testing products

Making design changes to account for manufacturing constraints

Optimizing production costs and simplifying assembly

Collaborating with contractors and manufacturing teams

Integrating mechanical components with electronics (sensors, motors, etc.)

Requirements:

At least 3 years of experience in developing mechanical devices and electronics

Understanding of DFM principles (milling, sheet metal bending, thermoforming, 3D printing)

Experience preparing products for mass production

Hands-on experience with 3D printing and materials

Proficiency with 3D printers (particularly Bambu Lab)

Proficiency in SolidWorks

Experience with PDM systems (a plus)

Experience working with Ukrainian contractors and prototyping shops

Skills in manual assembly, setup, and testing

Understanding of FEM/FEA, thermal, and vibration analysis

Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

Basic skills in electromechanical integration

A plus:

Experience with R&D projects

Collaboration with industrial designers

Experience launching products into mass production

Candidate Requirements

At least 2 years of work experience.
