Role Overview
This role focuses on building a SaaS product with additional support for local installations. You'll own the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure from the early stages, setting the foundation for how the platform operates.

The product is fully Kubernetes-based - a multi-tenant fleet of private GKE clusters on GCP, provisioned with Terraform and reconciled by ArgoCD from our own Helm charts. Strong expertise in cluster management, automation, and container orchestration is essential. The system is high-load, so reliability is the top priority. You'll also contribute to our open-source product.

Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain GCP infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, IAM, KMS, managed databases) using Terraform

• Operate a growing fleet of private GKE clusters: administration, upgrades, capacity planning, Gateway API, custom Helm charts
• Build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD following GitOps practices, including ephemeral per-PR environments
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with Mimir, Loki, Alloy, and Grafana - dashboards and alerts as code
• Design and secure cloud networking: VPC architecture, load balancers, Cloud Armor WAF, TLS automation, NetworkPolicies
• Operate the stateful layer with engineering teams: MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra, Pinot, Redis, NATS, Cloud SQL - sizing, upgrades, backups, disaster recovery

• Collaborate with engineering teams on deployment strategies and reliability
   

  Qualifications
  Must-Have

• Kubernetes - strong expertise in cluster administration, workload orchestration, and GitOps practices; ability to write and maintain custom Helm Charts
• Terraform - proven experience managing infrastructure as code and operating multi-environment estates on GCP
• Cloud platforms - solid knowledge of GCP core services, including compute, storage, and managed databases; equivalent AWS depth is fine if you are ready to work GCP-first
• Cloud networking - experience with VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls, and load balancers, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity
• Infrastructure security - practical experience with IAM, workload identity, secrets management, TLS, encryption (KMS/CMEK), and policy enforcement in production environments
• CI/CD workflows - experience building and maintaining pipelines with GitHub Actions/GitLab CI and ArgoCD/FluxCD
• Databases and messaging - operational knowledge of MongoDB, MySQL/Postgres, Redis, and streaming platforms such as Kafka; comfortable running stateful workloads on Kubernetes
• Observability - hands-on use of Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and similar tools for monitoring, alerting, and tracing
  
  Nice-to-Have
• Multi-tenant SaaS platform experience: namespace- or cluster-per-tenant models and tenant provisioning automation
• OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing, SLOs, and incident response practice
• Supply-chain and compliance work: cosign/SBOMs, image scanning, SOC 2 or ISO 27001
• Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven systems, such as AWS Lambda, Cloud Functions, or Pub/Sub triggers
• Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source products
• Relevant certifications would be a plus
