Freelance Packaging Prepress Specialist

We are looking for an experienced freelance packaging prepress specialist for recurring coffee packaging projects.
 

Scope of work

• Adapt existing artwork to supplied packaging dielines
• Prepare files for digital and flexographic printing
• Check dielines, dimensions, bleed, safe zones, and technical layers
• Verify CMYK and spot colours, overprint, trapping, and ink coverage
• Check fonts, linked images, image resolution, and barcodes.
• Identify potential production risks and clearly explain any required corrections
• Deliver:
  • editable Adobe Illustrator files
  • print-ready PDF/X files
     

Requirements

• Proven experience with flexible packaging, preferably pouches or coffee packaging
• Strong knowledge of packaging prepress and print-production requirements
• Advanced Adobe Illustrator skills
• Ability to complete routine artwork adaptations within approximately 24 hours
• Reliable written communication in English
• Ability to provide relevant production examples and clearly explain your exact role in each project
• Availability to complete a small, sample-production test task within 24 hours

Working format

• Freelance, remote, with recurring assignments
• Payment per completed artwork
• Both standard and urgent tasks may be requested
• All technical questions, production risks, and expected delays must be communicated before final file delivery
