Head of Billing and Payments
About the role
We’re looking for a senior payments leader to build and scale the Group’s Payments & Billing function across brands, markets and payment infrastructure.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has already optimized high-volume international CNP card payments at scale and understands how payment performance translates into business results.
What you will own
- Payments & Billing strategy across the Group
- Performance across initial, returning CIT, card-on-file, recurring, MIT, recovery and retry flows
- 3DS, SCA, authentication and authorization optimization
- Routing and cascades across PSPs, acquirers and MIDs
- Selection and management of PSPs, acquirers, gateways and payment partners
- Payment experimentation and processing rules based on data and issuer behavior
- Processing costs, fraud, refunds, disputes and chargebacks
- Building and leading the Payments & Billing team

Must-have:
- 8+ years of experience in international CNP card payments
- Senior merchant-side experience in a high-volume, complex environment
- Deep understanding of issuer authorization logic, 3DS and authentication data
- Strong experience with routing, cascades and retry strategies
- Hands-on experience with multiple PSPs and acquirers
- Experience with card-on-file and returning customer-initiated transactions
- Strong analytical and experimentation mindset
- Ability to turn payment data into measurable processing improvements
- Comfortable being hands-on initially and building a team
- Fluent English
Brain
We’re looking for someone who already knows payments at scale — not someone who needs to learn the fundamentals on the job.
Experience in iGaming, dating, sweepstakes, subscription, fintech or other high-risk/high-volume verticals is a strong plus.
What success looks like
The goal is to maximize Net Lifetime Profit per card acquired while improving authorization, recovery and processing economics and maintaining diversified, stable payment rails.
Location
Remote-first, with occasional travel for acquirer meetings and team alignment.
Compensation
Competitive and aligned with the seniority and rarity of the profile. Details discussed with qualified candidates.
