We are looking for a Middle+/Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of the infrastructure and operational reliability of Talisa, an established e-commerce platform.

The primary focus of this role is to ensure the stability, availability, security, and predictable operation of our production and staging environments. Talisa is a mature product, so the role is less about building new infrastructure from scratch and more about maintaining and continuously improving an existing production environment.

You will be responsible for infrastructure maintenance and upgrades, monitoring and incident response, security patching, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, capacity and cost optimization, and reducing operational risk.

We value operational discipline, careful change management, automation, documentation, and proactive identification of reliability or security issues.

Key responsibilities

Infrastructure Management:

  • Operate and maintain Talisa production and staging AWS environments, ensuring stability, performance, and availability.
  • Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades with proper testing, rollback procedures, and documentation.
  • Monitor capacity, backups, recovery readiness, and AWS costs.

Security Ownership:

  • Own infrastructure security, including OS patching, hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Maintain protection against malicious traffic, bots, and DDoS attacks using CloudFront, AWS WAF, and related services.
  • Support infrastructure security and compliance requirements.

Observability & Monitoring:

  • Maintain monitoring, logging, dashboards, health checks, and actionable alerts.
  • Investigate production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and escalate application issues when needed.
  • Improve alert quality and maintain operational runbooks.

Automation & Efficiency:

  • Automate repetitive operational tasks using Bash/Python and CloudFormation.
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure infrastructure changes are documented and reproducible.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work with development and QA teams on deployments, troubleshooting, and infrastructure changes.
  • Prioritize planned infrastructure work alongside production and monitoring issues.

Requirements

  • Experience: 4–6+ years in DevOps/SRE (Strong Middle/Senior).
  • AWS: Strong hands-on experience with EC2, RDS/MySQL, VPC, CloudFront, WAF, IAM, CloudWatch, and S3.
  • Linux & Docker: Strong production administration and troubleshooting skills.
  • IaC & Automation: Experience with CloudFormation, Bash/Python, Git, and CI/CD.
  • Security: Good understanding of infrastructure security, patching, access control, and DDoS/web protection.
  • Operations: Experience with monitoring, incident response, backups, recovery, and safe production changes.
  • Ownership: Proactive, disciplined, and focused on reliable, documented infrastructure.
  • AI Tools: Comfortable using AI-assisted engineering tools.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills; Intermediate+ English.

Technical Stack

  • Cloud & IaC: AWS (EC2, VPC, ALB, Lambda, S3, CloudFront), CloudFormation, Docker.
  • Main Platform: Magento2 (PHP).
  • Databases: RDS (MySQL), ElastiCache (Redis), MongoDB.
  • Observability: AWS CloudWatch, Route53 health checks, Graylog.
  • Process: GitHub, GitHub Actions, JIRA/Confluence.

Work Schedule

8 hours per day, 5 days a week.

Sometimes it’s necessary to react to nightly alerts/outages.

What We Offer

  • 100% Remote.
  • Ownership: Direct influence on the observability and security/compliance of the project.
  • Direct Access: transparent team collaboration.
  • Stability: Competitive salary with long-term growth potential.
