DevOps Engineer

Blackthorn Vision is seeking a Middle/Senior DevOps Engineer for an outstaff project with a global leader in energy technology. Founded in 1926 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, the company has 100,000 employees serving customers in more than 120 countries and develops software solutions for automation across the energy and industrial sectors.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, and Ansible.
• Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Experience managing and supporting production-grade Kubernetes clusters and Operators
• Strong experience supporting cloud-native, microservices-based applications.
• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of observability stacks including Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Upper-Intermediate English level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Terraform or Bicep.
• Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD.
• Docker
• OpenTelemetry
• ELK / OpenSearch
• Python Scripting
• Azure Security Services
• Service Mesh (Istio/Linkerd)
• Experience using AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, or similar.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Provision and manage infrastructure on Microsoft Azure Cloud.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshooting applications running on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Kubernetes clusters.
• Develop, customize, and maintain Kubernetes Operators for application lifecycle management.
• Automate infrastructure configuration and application deployment using Ansible.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps best practices.
• Support and optimize Linux-based environments.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment reliability and release velocity.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
• Ensure security, scalability, availability, and performance of cloud infrastructure.
