Middle/Senior Data Scientist

We are looking for a Middle/Senior Data Scientist to join the Data Science team of a leading financial institution in Ukraine.
 

We are open to considering candidates at the Middle to Senior level, depending on their experience and expertise.
 

The team works with large-scale datasets and develops intelligent solutions using both classical Machine Learning and modern Deep Learning approaches. We are looking for a motivated professional who is passionate about data, technology, and solving complex business problems.
 

In this role, you will be responsible for data analysis, ML model development, and production implementation, taking solutions from research and experimentation through to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-End ML Development: Design, train, and deploy ML/DL models, from research and experimentation to production.
• Classical ML: Work with tabular data, perform EDA, develop features, and build classification and regression models.
• Deep Learning: Develop models for text, image, and audio data based on business needs.
• MLOps: Containerize models using Docker, set up model quality monitoring, and integrate solutions via APIs (FastAPI/Flask).
• Documentation & Communication: Maintain technical documentation and present model results, metrics, and business impact to stakeholders.
   

Key Requirements:

• Experience: 1+ year of commercial experience as a Data Scientist/ML Engineer, including taking solutions from research to production.
• Data & SQL: Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries and analytical/window functions.
• Engineering & Cloud: Experience with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Machine Learning: Experience with recommendation systems, segmentation problems, and forecasting models.
• ML Stack: Strong knowledge of Python, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and XGBoost/LightGBM.
• Mathematics & Statistics: Solid understanding of statistics, probability theory, ML algorithms, and the principles behind how algorithms work.
• Collaboration: Ability to work independently and effectively with team members from different professional backgrounds.
• Documentation: Ability to create and maintain documentation for developed models and processes.
   

Nice to Have:

• Deep Learning: Strong proficiency with PyTorch or TensorFlow/Keras.
• Experience building dashboards and meaningful visualizations using BI tools.
• Experience with Generative AI and NLP.
• Experience with Computer Vision.
• Experience with advanced Deep Learning architectures.
