Principal kdb+ / q Engineer

We are developing a heterogeneous compute environment engineered to speed up high-throughput analytics and Machine Learning workloads. We are looking for a specialized kdb+/q systems engineer to collaborate directly with our hardware acceleration team.

Primary Objectives:

• Audit and optimize the internal query pipeline of kdb+ to achieve maximum throughput.
• Build custom extensions and native modules utilizing the kdb+ C API.
• Conduct deep-level performance profiling to pinpoint, isolate, and eliminate execution bottlenecks within the engine.
• Seamlessly hook hardware acceleration capabilities straight into existing kdb+ processing flows.

Qualifications:

• Essential: Mastery of kdb+/q syntax and engine internals, query plan optimization, hands-on experience extending kdb+ via the C API, and low-level diagnostic/profiling expertise.
• Advantageous: Core understanding of or exposure to hardware accelerators (e.g., FPGA, GPU, or custom silicon integration).
