Senior Embedded Engineer IRC302052
Description
Our client, a leading international hardware and wearable technology manufacturer, is developing an advanced, head-worn situational awareness platform engineered for complex operational and field environments. The system integrates edge computing, multi-sensor video processing, and high-speed wireless connectivity to deliver a seamless, fused real-time data and visual experience for field operators.
The platform architecture centers on a wearable smart power unit anchored by an NXP i.MX 8M Plus System-on-Module (SoM) with integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities, an FPGA for real-time video stream fusion, and dual hot-swappable power modules.
The engineering initiative focuses on optimizing low-level system communication, stabilizing wireless connectivity protocols (Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth), resolving USB-OTG switching issues, managing FPGA configuration over I2C, and extracting MIPI CSI-2 stream metadata to ensure a resilient, low-latency system performance.
