Strong Junior Java Developer
We are looking for a motivated, strong Junior Java Developer to join our team on a full-time basis for a US-based client. In this role, you will work closely under the mentorship of an experienced Java Tech Lead on a task management and product catalog platform. Your focus will be on delivering new backend features, resolving legacy code issues, fixing security vulnerabilities, and addressing bugs identified during testing in collaboration with a cross-functional team. The ideal candidate has strong core Java knowledge, exceptional motivation to learn, flexibility for occasional evening syncs with US stakeholders, and confident English communication skills for team syncs and product demonstrations.
Requirements:
• 2+ years of relevant experience in the IT industry;
• Basic knowledge and 2+ years of experience in Java core;
• Understanding of microservice architecture;
• Strong knowledge of Spring Framework (Spring Core/Boot/Security/Data/AOP);
• Experience with AWS (S3, SNS, SQS, etc.);
• Experience with PostgreSQL Database;
• English: Upper-intermediate.
Would be a plus:
• Experience with Quarkus
Responsibilities:
• Basic Coding and Debugging: Writing clean, maintainable code and debugging simple issues.
• Learning Frameworks and Libraries: Familiarizing themselves with common Java frameworks and libraries.
• Assisting with Development Tasks: Supporting senior/middle developers with development tasks, such as feature implementation and testing.
• Documentation and Testing: Writing documentation for their code and participating in testing activities.
• Learning and Growth: Continuously learning and improving their Java skills through self-study and mentorship.
