Middle Ops/DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Middle Ops/DevOps Engineer with practical experience in the Microsoft Azure cloud ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining modern cloud-based solutions while ensuring their reliability, scalability, and security in accordance with established engineering best practices.

The primary focus will be on the Microsoft cloud stack, including Azure and Microsoft 365. This is a fully remote position, with responsibilities covering automation, operations, and support for both our internal infrastructure and Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) customers.

Main Responsibilities

– Automate operational processes using tools such as PowerShell

– Provide support and troubleshooting for environments managed on behalf of our CSP customers.

– Monitor Azure, Microsoft 365, and CSP environments, respond to incidents, and help drive overall system stability.

– Administer and utilize Jira and Confluence for project and documentation management.

– Research and evaluate new Microsoft cloud technologies and features to enhance our services.

– Maintain and improve our internal cloud infrastructure.

– Support the team with Ops/DevOps-related questions and tasks.

– Design, develop, and deploy applications and services within the Azure cloud environment.

– Participate in architecture design activities and assist in selecting appropriate Azure services and technologies.

– Conduct R&D activities within the Microsoft Fabric platform, exploring new technologies and proposing innovative solutions.

– Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.

– Optimize the performance, reliability, and security of cloud solutions.

– Integrate with other Microsoft services, such as Power BI, Azure SQL, and Azure Functions.

– Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, data teams, operations, and business stakeholders.

Mandatory Requirements

– At least 2 years of experience in an Ops/DevOps role.

– Experience automating operational processes using PowerShell, Python, Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, and similar tools.

– Ability to support and troubleshoot environments for CSP customers.

– Proficiency in monitoring Azure, Microsoft 365, and CSP environments, incident response, and ensuring system stability.

– Experience administering and using Jira and Confluence.

– Ability to research and evaluate new Microsoft cloud technologies and features.

– Experience maintaining and improving internal cloud infrastructure.

– Capability to support the team with Ops/DevOps-related tasks and questions.

– A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure SQL, and Storage.

– Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.

– Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools in cloud environments.

– Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools like Jira.

– Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Azure Container Instances; experience with Kubernetes is a plus.

– English proficiency sufficient for reading technical documentation and participating in team discussions.

Preferred Qualifications

– Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, including ARM, Bicep, and Terraform.

– Knowledge of security best practices in cloud development.

– Microsoft Azure certifications, such as AZ-104 minimum

– Experience with monitoring and logging tools, including Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
