About the Project
We are looking for a Lead Fullstack Engineer to join a global technology team developing innovative risk and compliance solutions.
The role combines hands-on software development with technical leadership, with a strong focus on scalable backend systems, cloud-native technologies, and modern web applications.
The initial contract runs until the end of November 2026 due to the client's budget year closing. However, there is a high possibility of extension, as the client is looking for someone who can continue working with the team for a longer period.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the development team while supporting successful project delivery
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring
- Develop end-to-end features, including frontend components with React and TypeScript
- Design and implement microservices, event-driven integrations, and workflow-based solutions
- Create solution architectures and maintain technical documentation, including UML diagrams
- Develop and maintain batch-processing solutions when required
- Ensure applications are production-ready through effective logging, monitoring, resilience, and error-handling practices
- Promote high software quality through automated testing, code reviews, and static code analysis
- Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Work collaboratively within Agile teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and cloud-native solutions
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise application development, with a strong focus on backend engineering
- 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, including mentoring developers and taking ownership of delivery
- Advanced knowledge of Java and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Data, REST, and Spring Security
- Strong experience designing microservices, micro-database architectures, and event-driven applications
- Hands-on frontend development experience with ReactJS and TypeScript
- Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native development environments
- Solid understanding of API design, specification, and documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI
- Experience with automated testing, code quality and analysis tools, and addressing security vulnerabilities
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, JIRA, and Confluence
