QA Engineer

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer. In this role, you will contribute to test strategy development, follow established quality standards, and perform testing to ensure a high level of product quality. You will collaborate closely with a QA Lead, developers, and product team members, applying your expertise to support and continuously improve quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements for test environments, test data, resources, and toolsI
• Dentify areas suitable for test automation and collaborate with SDETs and developers to implement it
• Create, estimate, prioritize, and execute test plans and test cases
• Maintain clear and up-to-date QA documentation (test cases, checklists, supplemental product information)
• Apply risk-based testing to focus effort on high-impact and high-risk areas
• Own feature and release sign-off from the QA perspective
• Own reporting of test results, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with QA processes, standards, and best practices
• Perform exploratory, functional, regression, and integration testing as needed
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and designers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria, and to identify gaps, edge cases, and testability issues early
• Drive continuous improvements in QA processes and tooling
  

Experience and Skills

• 3+ years of experience in QA for web-based applications
• Experience contributing to automated tests or maintaining existing test suites (UI and/or API)
• Testing expertise: functional, regression, integration, exploratory, smoke, sanity, and UAT
• API testing: experience testing REST-based APIs (including validation of requests/responses, error handling, and data flows)
• UI testing: ensuring quality of React-based frontends across multiple browsers and devices
• Non-functional testing: performance, usability, and basic security testing 
• Agile delivery: experience working in Agile/Scrum/Kanban; active participation in grooming, planning, reviews, and retrospectivesTechnical skills: programming in Java/TypeScript/Python; Linux (confident command-line user); SQL; familiarity with Docker
• Collaboration tools: Jira, Confluence, Xray, TestRail
• Soft skills: strong teamwork and self-management; ability to work autonomously; ability to work effectively across multiple products within the same team and within several teams in case of need; sharing knowledge and best practices with team members; effective communication with the ability to influence technical discussions
• Mindset: curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and contribute to improving QA and engineering practices
