Senior QA Engineer

We are a US-based life insurance brokerage company specializing in serving high-net-worth clients. As an independent broker, we work with leading insurance companies to deliver the best solution for each client.
Our business is growing rapidly, and so is our technology landscape. We build custom business applications and implement enterprise platforms such as Salesforce with specialized implementation partners. We are also actively automating our business processes using modern Business Process Management systems and AI technologies.
We're looking for a QA Engineer who enjoys understanding business processes, ensuring software quality, and helping us build a pragmatic quality culture.
What you'll do
- Test internally developed and third-party business applications.
- Conduct test analysis.
- Create and maintain test cases, checklists, and release documentation.
- Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and integration testing (including API testing).
- Work closely with developers, project managers, and business stakeholders.
- Help establish and continuously improve our QA process, testing approach, and release management.
- Use AI tools to improve productivity and testing efficiency.
- Participate in requirements gathering and business analysis.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of experience in Manual QA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in testing business web applications and integrations.
- Ability to understand and describe complex business processes.
- Excellent written and spoken English โ our working language is English.
- Ability to work independently and communicate with distributed teams.
- Experience using modern AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar).
Nice to have
- Experience as a Business Analyst (requirements gathering, clarification, analysis).
- Experience with BPM/workflow platforms (Flowable, Camunda, or similar).
- API testing experience (Postman or similar).
- Experience in testing automation (we plan to implement it later).
- Experience in insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry.
- Interest in AI-powered and agentic automation (including no-code/low-code tools or configuring AI agents, prompt engineering, and AI agents testing).
- ISTQB certification.
What you'll help us build
This role is more than manual testing.
You'll help establish our QA practice by defining a practical testing approach, supporting release quality, improving documentation, and helping ensure our growing portfolio of systems remains reliable as we continue expanding our automation capabilities. You will also spend time on requirements clarification and business analysis when needed.
