Our client is looking for an AI Builder / Full-Stack Engineer to join an early-stage startup with a very small team and a high level of ownership.

The company is building an AI-native product for the janitorial industry that automates the processing of large volumes of complex documentation, including contracts and RFPs. The product analyzes this information and generates accurate, detailed bids, including pricing, equipment selection, and task breakdowns down to the room and space level.

This role is ideal for an engineer who can take an AI capability end-to-end — from designing agents and backend systems to building the product experiences through which users interact with them. You’ll work across AI/LLM engineering, backend systems, data pipelines, and full-stack product development.

Key Requirements:
🔹 Strong commercial experience with AI/LLM engineering and backend development;
🔹 Strong Python engineering skills;
🔹 Hands-on experience building AI agents, LLM workflows, or AI-native systems;
🔹 Experience designing backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and working with databases;
🔹 Ability to work with unstructured data and build systems for processing and analyzing complex information;
🔹 Experience integrating and working with LLM APIs and AI models;
🔹 Comfortable building full-stack product features and modern web UIs;
🔹 Experience with React, Next.js, and/or Node.js;
🔹 Strong understanding of system design, data modeling, debugging, and infrastructure;
🔹 Experience testing AI systems and evaluating the quality of model outputs;
🔹 Ability to take an AI capability from agent/backend logic through to a usable customer experience;
🔹 High level of ownership and ability to independently drive technical work from architecture to production;
🔹 Comfortable working through ambiguous product and technical requirements in a fast-paced startup environment;
🔹 Pragmatic approach to engineering — knowing when to build deeply and when to ship quickly;
🔹 English – Upper-Intermediate or higher.

Will be plus:
🔹 Experience working specifically with contracts, RFPs, or other complex business documentation;
🔹 Experience building UIs for managing or interacting with AI agents;
🔹 Experience with both commercial and open-source AI models;
🔹 Previous experience in the janitorial / cleaning services industry or similar domain;

What you will do:
🔹 Design and deploy agentic AI workflows, agent harnesses, and orchestration systems;
🔹 Develop and maintain the backend for AI agents that process and analyze contracts, RFPs, and other complex documents;
🔹 Build pipelines for large volumes of unstructured data, including OCR and vision-based document and image analysis;
🔹 Integrate AI tools and models, including OpenAI, Google, and open-source models, using Python;
🔹 Build AI agent orchestration using LangChain, Deep Agents, and similar frameworks;
🔹 Build backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and core infrastructure;
🔹 Own data flows across ingestion, transformation, storage, retrieval, evaluation, and application usage;
🔹 Design and maintain databases, including Postgres and MongoDB;
🔹 Build full-stack product experiences around AI capabilities, including agent interfaces, review/approval flows, and AI-assisted workflows;
🔹 Collaborate with frontend development using React, Next.js, and Node.js to integrate AI agents into the product;
🔹 Turn structured and unstructured AI outputs into polished user-facing experiences, documents, and product workflows;
🔹 Build datasets and testing approaches for AI systems and implement evaluation metrics, including LLM-as-a-judge and statistical evaluation;
🔹 Debug model behavior, pipeline failures, data quality issues, frontend/backend integration, and system performance;
🔹 Own complex technical problems end-to-end, from architecture and implementation through production;
🔹 Build reliable, scalable, and secure systems for an AI-native product;
