About the company:

GRUY GAMES is a Ukrainian game development studio. We create games, adapting new and engaging genres for a mass audience.

The team consists of industry experts and veterans. We operate without bureaucracy or micromanagement, focusing on professionalism, process quality, and trust in every specialist.

We provide clear pipelines, comfortable working conditions, and fully official employment.

About the role:

We are looking for a Project Manager to oversee our studio's production cycle and coordinate the game design, art, engineering, and QA teams. The ideal candidate is a self-driven professional who effectively manages processes. You will utilize Notion, roadmaps, and well-structured tasks as essential practical tools to maintain transparency, track progress, and achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Lifecycle Management: Plan roadmaps, milestones, and sprints, set priorities, and strictly control deadlines.
  • Task Decomposition & Scoping: Break down high-level goals into clear, structured tasks that teams (GD, Art, Engineering, QA) can start working on immediately without needing follow-up clarification.
  • Process Synchronization: Run daily coordination of cross-functional teams and ensure smooth, unblocked communication.
  • Workspace Administration: Manage Notion as the Single Source of Truth (SSOT)—design database architecture, maintain documentation, track statuses, checklists, and the Definition of Done.
  • Risk Management: Proactively forecast, identify, and swiftly remove project blockers.
  • Outsource Management: Collaborate with contractors and external teams—from drafting briefs to controlling deadlines and managing deliverable acceptance.
  • Transparent Reporting: Keep management regularly updated on project status, milestone progress, and key risks.
  • AI Integration: Leverage modern AI tools within the production pipeline (e.g., generating meeting summaries, assisting with task decomposition, drafting documentation, and reports).

Requirements (Must Have):

  • Experience: 1+ year of experience as a Project Manager in GameDev or a product-led IT company.
  • Pipeline Expertise: Deep understanding of the game development pipeline — how game designers, artists, programmers, and QA interact, and where bottlenecks typically occur.
  • Tracker Mastery: Confident, process-owner level usage of Notion (relational databases, custom views, templates) or similar tracking systems.
  • Multitasking: Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects or parallel tracks simultaneously.
  • Technical Literacy: Solid understanding of builds, branches, Pull Requests (PRs), and release candidates; ability to independently reproduce a bug and record a clear repro.
  • Structured Communication: Exceptional ability to write tasks, documentation, and reports clearly and concisely.
  • Adaptability: Openness to innovation and a readiness to embed AI tools into your daily workflow.
  • Language: English B1+ (Intermediate or higher).

Nice to Have:

  • At least one shipped project where you can clearly articulate your specific scope of responsibilities and contributions.
  • Experience working with mobile F2P titles or multiplayer cross-platform games.
  • Basic navigation and understanding of Unity or Unreal Engine.
  • Familiarity with product analytics (understanding metrics like retention, session length, and conversion funnels).
  • Hands-on experience coordinating outsourced art contractors.
  • Experience with publishing pipelines and submitting games to platforms/stores.
