Tech Lead (Java + React)

About the project

We're looking for a Tech Lead with a strong background in Java and React to lead a team of 3 developers on a new project in the Marketplace domain for a client based in KSA (Saudi Arabia). The project is expected to kick off in September and will run for 12 months, with a possible extension.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 3 developers, ensuring quality delivery and technical growth
• Own technical decisions and architecture within the Modular Monolith setup
• Set up and enforce coding standards, best practices, and code review processes
• Collaborate directly with the client (KSA) on technical requirements and project scope
• Coordinate with Solution Architect and other project stakeholders
• Manage task breakdown, estimation, and delivery timelines for the team
• Identify and resolve technical risks and bottlenecks
   

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Java Spring Boot
• Solid knowledge of React (Next.js is a plus)
• Proven experience in a Tech Lead / team lead role
• Experience working with relational databases (MySQL)
• Understanding of message brokers (ActiveMQ) and caching (Redis)
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Understanding of Modular Monolith Architecture principles
• Strong communication skills and experience working directly with clients
• Upper-Intermediate+ English level for client communication

• Experience on Marketplace domain projects
• Experience working with clients from the Middle East region
• Experience leading small, focused teams (3-5 people)
