Junior Strong/Middle Manual QA Engineer

Blackthorn Vision is looking for a Middle General QA Engineer. Our client, established in 2011 and based in Colorado, is a leading player in the U.S. application management market. We’ve had a successful partnership with this client and are seeking candidates who are eager to take ownership and improve a product already trusted by over 6,000 enterprises.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in QA within Agile development teams.
• Proven expertise in test planning, execution of functional and non-functional test cases, and defect reporting.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into test specifications, including preparation of edge cases and comprehensive test coverage.
• Hands-on experience testing both web and desktop applications.
• Proficiency in using virtual machines for software testing environments.
• Solid knowledge of browser developer tools (e.g., Console, Network, Application tabs).
• Practical experience with Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and tools such as Postman for API testing.
• Basic understanding of databases (querying and validation).
• Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
• Strong product-oriented mindset with attention to user value and business impact.
• Excellent team communication and collaboration skills.

• Upper-intermediate English level.

  Nice to Have:

• Experience with AI-assisted testing tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.).

   

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute various types of test cases, and work with different types of testing.
• Creation and maintenance of the testing documentation,
• Performing backend tests (work with API, DBs, Logs);
• Analyze and report test results, track defects, and participate in other daily QA routines.
• Communicate with team members.
