Senior Go / Kubernetes Developer

We are looking for a Senior Go / Kubernetes Developer with strong hands-on experience in Golang and Kubernetes-native development to join Implex and work on a long-term international Cloud & Edge Infrastructure project within a major European digital sovereignty initiative.

The engineer will contribute to the development of a next-generation cloud-edge platform and cloud-native infrastructure components based on Kubernetes and Go. The role involves designing Kubernetes Operators and Controllers, building Kubernetes-native APIs and automation for infrastructure environments, and contributing to architecture and technical design decisions.

Project Overview

• The project focuses on building a next-generation cloud-edge platform and developing cloud-native infrastructure components based on Kubernetes and Go.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Kubernetes Operators and Controllers in Go
• Develop cloud-native backend services and Kubernetes-native APIs
• Implement Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) and controller logic
• Build automation solutions for Bare-Metal Kubernetes environments
• Integrate infrastructure, networking, and platform components using Kubernetes APIs
• Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
• Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions
• Participate in code reviews and technical documentation

Required Skills

• Strong professional experience with Go (Golang)
• Hands-on experience developing Kubernetes Operators and Controllers
• Kubernetes API, client-go, controller-runtime
• Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs)
• Kubebuilder and/or Operator SDK
• REST and/or gRPC
• Containerized application development
