We are looking for a Senior AWS Cloud Network / Platform Engineer to join our team and help build, automate, and standardize AWS-native networking capabilities.
This is a hands-on role at the intersection of Platform Engineering and Cloud Networking. You will design reusable networking patterns, automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, and integrate networking capabilities into platform pipelines and onboarding workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and standardize AWS-native networking solutions.
- Build and maintain networking patterns using AWS Cloud WAN, VPC Lattice, AWS Network Firewall, VPC, and related AWS networking services.
- Design and manage VPC connectivity, routing, network segmentation, and security controls.
- Replace legacy network controls with centralized, scalable, and policy-driven approaches.
- Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules for network provisioning, configuration, and governance.
- Automate network infrastructure deployment across AWS environments and accounts.
- Integrate networking capabilities into platform engineering pipelines and infrastructure provisioning workflows.
- Support repeatable and self-service infrastructure onboarding patterns.
- Collaborate closely with Networking, Platform, DevOps, and Security teams to align routing, connectivity, security, and infrastructure standards.
- Contribute to the adoption of AWS-native networking services and infrastructure automation best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex AWS networking, routing, and connectivity issues.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud networking.
- Deep understanding of AWS VPC, subnets, routing, Security Groups, network security, and connectivity patterns.
- Practical experience with AWS networking services such as Cloud WAN, Transit Gateway, Network Firewall, or similar technologies.
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, including designing and maintaining reusable Terraform modules.
- Experience managing infrastructure and networking through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) at scale.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, DNS, VPN, CIDR/subnetting, firewalls, and network segmentation.
- Experience automating infrastructure deployment through CI/CD or platform engineering pipelines.
- Ability to work across both DevOps/Platform Engineering and Networking domains.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with infrastructure, networking, security, and engineering teams.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with AWS VPC Lattice.
- Experience with AWS Cloud WAN in multi-account or multi-region environments.
- Experience with AWS Firewall Manager.
- Knowledge of AWS Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, BGP, and hybrid cloud networking.
- Experience with multi-account AWS environments and centralized network architectures.
- Experience with Platform Engineering, Internal Developer Platforms, or self-service infrastructure.
- Experience with Kubernetes/EKS networking, service mesh, or microservices networking.
- Experience with GitOps and modern infrastructure delivery practices.
