Data Annotation Coordinator / Team Lead

About the role and project:
We are looking for a Data Annotation Coordinator / Team Lead who oversees annotation projects, manages annotation teams, ensures labeling quality, and coordinates communication between internal and external stakeholders, and the team of annotators. The role is responsible for delivering high-quality annotated datasets on time and according to project requirements.
This is a unique opportunity to join an ambitious Military AI project at an early stage of development and play a key role in shaping its future. As a Data Annotation Coordinator / Team Lead, you will have a direct influence on building the annotation team, establishing operational processes, defining quality standards, and creating workflows that will support the project's long-term success.

Responsibilities:
- Team Management
- Shape, lead and supervise a team of data annotators.
- Assign tasks and monitor workload distribution.
- Conduct onboarding and training for new annotators.
- Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
- Foster adherence to annotation guidelines and quality standards.
- Project Coordination
- Plan and coordinate annotation activities across multiple projects.
- Track project progress, timelines, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define annotation requirements.
- Develop and maintain annotation guidelines and documentation.
- Perform quality reviews and audits of annotated data.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data annotation, data operations, or AI/ML projects.
- Previous experience leading teams or coordinating projects.
- Strong understanding of annotation methodologies and quality control processes.
- Experience with annotation platforms and labeling tools.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Military service experience.
- Fluent in English and Ukrainian.
