German-speaking Sales Intern

Product

Talk to German-speaking companies about Tender Navigator, help start new conversations and learn how B2B SaaS sales and business development actually work. No sales experience needed - we will teach you.

The role

We are looking for a German-speaking intern who enjoys talking to people and wants to learn how a B2B software company finds and wins its customers. This is a first job in tech, not a senior sales position - if you speak German, are proactive and want to learn, we can teach you the rest.

You will help us reach German-speaking companies and partners, start conversations, introduce what Tender Navigator does and spot the ones worth following up. Nobody will hand you a script and a target on day one: you will learn the product and the market with the team, and take on more as you get comfortable.

We are a small team, so your work is visible from week one and you get to see the whole picture - how a message turns into a conversation, a conversation into a demo, and a demo into a customer.

Languages

Fluent or strong German is the one thing we cannot teach you - you will be writing to and speaking with people in German-speaking markets.

Ukrainian at native level and English at a good working level are needed for day-to-day work with the team.

You do not need business or sales German. Clear, confident, natural German is enough.

What you will be doing

  • Getting in touch with German-speaking companies and potential partners.
  • Starting conversations and introducing Tender Navigator in plain language.
  • Helping spot companies that could genuinely benefit from the product.
  • Supporting the team through the business development and sales process.
  • Keeping your outreach and conversations organised so nothing gets lost.
  • Passing on what you hear from the market to the product and marketing teams.
  • Learning how B2B SaaS sales and business development work in practice, with the team.

What we are looking for

Genuinely short list. Sales experience is not on it, and not having any will not count against you.

  • Fluent or strong German.
  • You enjoy talking to people and are comfortable starting a conversation.
  • Active, energetic and proactive - you do not wait to be told what to do next.
  • A real willingness to learn.
  • Responsible, and able to organise your own work without someone checking on you.

What you will learn

  • How a B2B SaaS company finds, qualifies and wins customers.
  • How to open a conversation with a company that has never heard of you.
  • How to listen for a real business problem behind a polite answer.
  • How the tendering and public procurement market works, and who buys in it.
  • How to work with modern sales and outreach tools - we will show you the ones we use.

This is a good fit if you are

  • A student or a recent graduate looking for a first real role.
  • Curious about startups, SaaS, sales or business development.
  • Good with people and with words, with no formal sales background at all.
  • Looking for a place where you will learn quickly and see the results of your work.

Nice to have, definitely not required

  • Any experience talking to customers - retail, hospitality, support, volunteering, student societies. It all counts.
  • An interest in technology, startups or how businesses buy software.
  • Studies in business, economics, communication, languages or something adjacent.
  • Other languages on top of German.
