Product Manager / Owner

to $5000

Long-term client project (under NDA)

Employment:

Full-time (40 h/week), long-term, hired on the project

Location:

Remote Β· Ukraine only. Kharkiv or Ivano-Frankivsk is a plus

Start:

September 1, 2026 (upon project funding arrival; we make offers in advance)

Reports to:

RedCat co-founders; daily counterparts β€” the client’s PM and CTO-consultant, Software Architect

About the project:

A long-term project for a North American product client: an AI platform in the enterprise knowledge / internal-operations domain, built for mid-size B2B companies and their employees. The product itself is under NDA β€” we share the details at the interview stage. What we can say now: the scope is fixed and funded, we start with a ~17-week POC delivered by Christmas, and after the POC gate the team and the effort double as the platform moves to MVP and further stages. The core delivery team (backend, AI/ML, integrations, frontend, QA) is already in place β€” we are closing the remaining key roles.

Your day-to-day:

Full delivery ownership: you are the single voice between our team and the client, turning a fixed 10-phase scope into shipped, demonstrated increments. A typical week:

  • Daily: standup with the team; a short sync with the client’s PM; backlog and Jira hygiene β€” sprint plans here are formal working documents, not sticky notes;
  • Writing: user stories and acceptance criteria at BA-grade quality β€” you write them yourself, this is a craft in this role, not a delegation;
  • Holding scope discipline: fixed sprint scope with a small buffer for urgent fixes; anything bigger goes through written change control with time/cost impact;
  • Twice per sprint: running the internal demo (client representative) and the external demo (all client stakeholders), then consolidating feedback into one actionable list and keeping the decision log;
  • Monthly: sprint planning with the Architect; watching the estimation-control rule (a 20% miss two sprints in a row triggers re-estimation and a capacity review);
  • Throughout: tracking the POC gate metrics and building the go/no-go evidence package β€” the gate decision will rest on your numbers.

Must have:

  • 7+ years as PM/PO of delivery teams building products from scratch;
  • You personally write requirements and user stories β€” portfolio of documentation is a plus;
  • Experience running distributed senior teams in agile delivery, and working directly with founder-level stakeholders;
  • Working understanding of AI/LLM product specifics: evals, hallucinations, cost per query β€” as an educated operator at minimum;
  • English B2+/C1 β€” daily communication with the client;
  • Ukraine-based, exclusively.

Will be a plus:

  • Kharkiv or Ivano-Frankivsk location;
  • BA or QA background; experience holding a fixed-price scope; deep Jira.

Hiring process

  • Application with your answers to the three questions above;
  • Creative test task (up to 4 hours)
  • Technical interview (90 min) β€” a deep dive into your answers and your real cases; NDA signing and full project details; (approx. 25-28 Aug)
  • Offer in August β€” so we start together on September 1.

What we offer

  • Long-term engagement on one product, with scope growing after the POC gate;
  • Remote-first, flexible schedule with agreed core overlap hours;
  • Monthly demo culture: internal demo + external demo with client stakeholders β€” your work is visible;
  • Paid individual English classes, medical support when needed, co-working coverage, paid individual learning courses;
  • B2B cooperation via ЀОП (private entrepreneur) contract;
  • A rare setup: one product, one client, a funded scope and a
