Head of Electronics Department

We are looking for a Head of Electronics Department - a leader responsible for the organization and outcome of the company's electronic product development process: from the requirements of the technical specifications to a finished, stable product suitable for serial production and operation in combat conditions.
 

This role is about managing the engineering team, processes and quality of solutions, with a deep understanding of the specifics of electronic development at MilTech.
 

The Head of Electronics Department is responsible for the coordinated work and development of the team, which includes: circuit engineers, PCB development and tracing specialists, embedded developers.
 

Main tasks:
 

- Organization of the electronics development process in accordance with the requirements of the technical specifications: from the formation of architecture and technical solutions to the validation of the finished product.
- Management of the life cycle of the electronic part of the product: prototype → testing → refinement → serial product.
- Work planning, prioritization of tasks, control of deadlines and quality of execution.
- Ensuring effective interaction between circuit engineers, PCB engineers and embedded developers.
- Coordination with related departments: R&D, production, testing, service, combat readiness.
- Monitoring compliance of developments with production, operation and maintainability requirements.
- Analysis of technical risks and decision-making on their minimization.
- Implementation and improvement of development standards, documentation and internal processes.
- Team development: mentoring, competency assessment, development plan formation, improvement of technical culture.
- Formation of an environment of responsibility for the result, not only for the performance of tasks.

Our expectations: 
 

- Higher technical education (electronics, radio engineering, embedded systems or related areas).
- Experience in electronic development (hardware / embedded) and understanding of the full product development cycle.
- Experience in managing an engineering team or willingness to take on a leadership role.
- Understanding of processes: circuit design, PCB development and tracing, embedded development, electronics integration and testing.
- Ability to work with technical specifications, transform requirements into realistic technical solutions and plans.
- System thinking, responsibility, ability to make decisions under uncertainty.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders.
- Experience in MilTech / Defense or related areas will be an advantage.
